Bagel Girl — Restaurant in Town of North Castle

Ordered a bec thru Uber eats. They ended up calling me and saying they didn’t have any more rolls (on a Sunday morning). Asked me if I wanted a bagel or something else, just told them “idk put it on a wedge” as I don’t like breakfast sandwiches on a bagel. Go back to my Uber eats app, see I’ve got a price increase on my order.

IM SORRY?!!?! So not only are you unprepared on a Sunday morning, the customer now has to pay for your mistake, on an item he didn’t even want? And was forced to get?

I’ve worked in the restaurant industry my entire life, from bus boy, to server, assistant gm, etc. Even GM when my parents owned a restaurant. Never in my life would I ever think of doing something like this. Safe to say I will not be patronizing here anymore. Also, eggs were dryer than the Sahara desert, and the “wedge” was more like a club roll....

I ordered a toasted bagel with egg and cheese. I also got a coffee which was self serve. Coffee was decent. The white of the egg was brown from a dirty grill and I was there in the morning. Checkout was very very slow. The cashier needs to be trained to complete the sale asap. She was dealing with the next customer while my order is sitting on the counter getting cold. No sense of what is going on. They also need to properly clean the grill so the egg comes out clean. I see from other reviews that the bagels are not made here. If they want people to come back they need to improve a few things. Prices were high. Overall...

I wanted to like this place so I could support a local woman owned business and because it's close to where I live. I've had it a few times since it's opened, but it's just OK. The store is nicely decorated and everything is clean. The staff are polite but the service is so-so. The bagels are good (I was told they're from The Bagel Emporium, so they don't even make their own bagels) and so if you just want a dozen bagels or a bagel with butter or cream cheese, it's good. But their breakfast sandwiches are sub par. I would travel farther for a better breakfast sandwich or just get the bagels and make your own...
