I would like to take the time to say Thank you Dan and Jeffrey at the Port Washington site. I was worried and extremely overwhelmed with the pressure of looking for a reliable storage place.. Dan showed patience and calm although I had many many questions to go over. Dan and Jeffrey took the time with explaining every detail from the storage unit, items that should or shouldn't be stored and temperature settings to the paperwork that needed to be signed. Through all of this he continued showing courtesy with a smile. I must say that Dan and Jeffrey set the example of what real customer service should look like. Always a happy greeting as you're walking through the door. If I had my say Dan's picture should be placed on ESS ads next to the words Professional, Caring, Courteous and Attentive by always making the customer feel number one. You walking away feeling like you've known them all your life. You feel comfortable storing your important and valuable items. They're just display AWESOME customer service. I was surprised at the level of quality service I received at Extra Space. My family and I recently moved from the city to Long Island, and planned to store our entire 3-bedroom apartment for a few months. Extra Space closes at 6:00pm, but our moving truck didn’t arrive until 5:30pm. Even so, Dan, the manager, went out of his way to stay a couple of hours past office hours to ensure we got settled. We ended up needing an extra 15’x10’ unit, which, again, Dan set us up with after hours, giving us a great rate with the first month free. Dan is always onsite and is exceedingly responsive. He gave us his cell number in case we had further issues, and called a week later to follow up on our experience. This is my first time renting at a storage facility, and I expected to have to deal with everything largely on my own. As such, it was a pleasant surprise to receive the impressive level of customer service that we did. The facilities are also clean, feel safe, and are kept at a pleasant temperature. We will certainly use Extra Space...
