Boychiks Bagels — Restaurant in Town of North Hempstead

I've frequented Boychiks Bagels three times since the deli opened in Port Washington NY. Therefore, this review is not of a single poor instance, but an amalgamation of three different visits. As others have mentioned, the staff of this establishment is not friendly. I'm not sure if the disgruntled demeanor is because of poor pay or working conditions, but it's obvious the staff would rather be breaking rocks at a penitentiary than serving bagels to you. Worse, are the high prices and measly portions. In the picture I've added to this review, you'll see the amount of salmon you get in a $10.00 bagel. Really. That's it. Three small pieces. Appalling. To call this place a ripoff would be generous. With three other bagel places in Port Washington, I'm sure their poor service, exorbitant prices and paltry portions will put the final nails in this clown show. Never going back. Neither should...

I almost never leave a bad review, but this was deserved. My first visit will be my last visit. I went at about 2:00 and ordered a bagel with cream cheese and a Reuben. The man rolled his eyes when I asked for a Reubens! It was the worst Ruben I've ever tried, which is saying something. I don't think it had any dressing, especially after another customer got a Ruben and asked for extra dressing. So I guess it wasn't just me. I was told the bagel was no better than a frozen Lender's.

The restaurant was dirty. It was just before school let out and we were initially the only ones in there. It looked closed for business on the outside. I get it. I bought chicken salad that looked a little funky but figured it had to be okay. Got home and thought it was tangy , my daughter said it was bad. I went back to Boychiks and they were kind enough to return my $12 and I told them to throw out. I also bought a black and white cookie for my husband and he said it was stale . So much for Boychiks!
