The reason I came to the Bible Church and the reason I stay could be summarized just by the name of the Church! There is expository teaching and preaching right from the Bible. It is not merely a scripture or two followed by a moral discussion or a dissertation on the benefits of living christian living. It is a week by week schedule of reading through a particular book of the Bible with an explanation of the meaning. After over 45 years of reading and studying the Bible, I remain awestruck by the ability of scripture to convict me of truth, reprove me of destructive thoughts and actions, comfort me when confused, anxious, or hurt, offer practical direction, and answer the deepest questions of my life. I remember back in 2012 when I was about to move to the US. I prayed to God to give me a church family where I could attend, grow and be a part of it. I googled and found at least 2 possible churches. I earnestly prayed for God to lead me to the church where I could fit in. Thankfully, I chose the Bible Church in Port Washington because not only it feed me with God's word but it was so much closer to where I lived. I love the fact that they have amzimg and fun things for kid . Although a little long , the pastor did an great job on getting me to see what mistakes I was making and that there is place where you can ask for help and cry and get councilling , and that is so important for me .
