I attempted to start a business and was looking to lease a property. I put a $500 deposit down. I figured out early on that I was not able to acquire the general liability insurance in time. I informed them. They convinced me to keep looking. I was unable to do it. They are keeping my $500 deposit and saying that it is to pay for the time that they used to write up the lease contracts. Those contracts which were never printed was from a pre-programmed business application that only required my information inputted. This is what they are charging $500 for. I see a problem with it. Others may not. I clearly do not see how they earned it. They must really be hurting for business when they need to keep $500 for doing 5 minutes of work. Everybody wonders where kindness and consideration has gone in life. It has disappeared, especially from companies like this. Professional courtesy goes right out the window when even a penny is involved. When you watch movies or TV shows, even reading novels, do you consider yourself one of the good guys or the bad guys? Read moreCustomer service leaves much to be desired. Nilsa, who is in charge of residential rentals, corresponded in all CAPS via email; that should have been my warning to stay clear of this company since the face of their company lacks basic email etiquette. Furthermore, my phone calls were never answered or returned; emails were responded to days after subsequent followup emails. I should also state that although I applied for an apartment with a cosigned income ranging in the top 5% of American salaries, I was denied despite being attentive, prompt, and vigilant during this calamitous process. The possibility of me being denied based on my identity as a single colored woman applying to this neighborhood is not questionable based on the overall dismal customer service that I was presented with. This review would obtain a 0 star review from me...
Read moreMy professional relationship with Milbrook Properties spans twenty years. Over the past two decades, the staff at Milbrook have always maintained the highest levels of service quality and professionalism. By my own admission, I can be quite demanding- yet I cannot remember a single instance when any member of the firm lost their temper, missed a deadline, or dropped the ball in their communications.
Service quality of this caliber and consistency doesn't come by every day, and they have managed to maintain this momentum throughout the pandemic. Milbrook serves as a model to other management companies and I look forward to continuing our professional...
