Beware! Not only are the prices higher on their website versus contacting the resort directly, they have a very rude customer service team. Additionally there is a rude woman by the name of Ashley that claims to be the ONLY SUPERVISOR with no one above her who is very rude, disrespectful, argumentative and provides false and misleading information. If you get this woman on the phone please escalate but do not accept anything she or her team tells you. Shame on World Travel Holdings for having created this scam side hustle business - Resort for a Day.
Additionally, when you book with them they only take a $12 to $25 deposit for the resort and ask you to pay the rest at the resort. You cannot pay a higher deposit or pay the entire cost upfront if you wanted to. This is on purpose as you can only apply your voucher from Crusies.com towards the deposit. Under this fraudulent business model, cruises.com will give you a $100 voucher towards the resort. However you can only apply $12 to $25 towards the deposit using the voucher. The rest of the voucher credit goes waste. Complete scam by World Travel Holding that owns both cruises.com and...
Read moreCruising on MSC Seaside in October 2018, myself and 5 others booked the Jewel Dunn's River Falls all-inclusive resort for the day and were very pleased with our experience. We were informed of our meeting point at Falsmouth Port, we were escorted to our transportation which took us on a short journey to the resort. Once we arrived to the resort we were escorted to a nice area to wait for a resort representative to come and collect our vouchers and provide us with wrist bands which allowed us use of the facilities (the restaurants, bars, and pool).
Our first stop was to the restaurant for breakfast. We enjoy a delicious meal and awesome service (the mimosas were just want the "island" ordered. From there when walked over to the beach area where we were set up with loungers and towels. We spent time there before hitting up the bar again and ordering lunch. After lunch we enjoyed a great game of pool volleyball. We spent the rest of our time lounging poolside before our transportation came back to pick us up and return us...
Read moreResort For A Day is one of the businesses owned by World Travel Holding is very unethical and you MUST AWAY. They charge about 20% to 30% more than what the day pass would cost you if booked directly. For example - (1) Iberostar Cozumel is sold at $99 vs $85 at Iberostar website, (2) Viva Wyndham Dominican Republic is sold for $65 vs $50 directly with the resort, (3) Marien Puerto Plata is sold for $59 vs $50 directly with the resort and so on. They do not provide price match given that they knowingly mark-up their passes by at least 20 to 30%. They also cheat you on vouchers. You may have a $100 voucher but they will only accept it towards the advance amount of $24 for example and you lose the remaining $76. Overall a company with an unethical business model. Most of the positive reviews are of people enjoying the resort and ignorance over the fact that they have been overcharged by upto 30% by...
