Read moreI am half Iranian and I know what Persian food is supposed to taste like and how it should be prepared. The Roslyn location used to be generally better than their Huntington location and I have been going to both of them for many many years with family and friends. The last thing I ever expected to do was give them a bad rating but today I must. A few months prior to their renovation and especially now since their renovation in Roslyn, the food hasn't been quite the same or good. The tahdiq is not prepared correctly, its actually not good at all. When you ask for Khoresht Fesenjan with chicken removed and they leave large chunks in the dish, it's not giving you what you asked for ( I ordered it this way for many years and never had a problem.) They are now making their own naan, disappointing they don't have whole wheat anymore and they're charging for extras $2 per naan (?!?!) The biggest thing which ABSOLUTELY turned me off today and I will most likely never be returning and am absolutely shocked the manager didn't notice (or didnt bother) before I got there was their kitchen staff not using gloves while handling the food with their bare hands!! I watched this for a few minutes while waiting for the manager to come over to me so I could point this out to him. They were touching the kebabs sliding them off the skewer with their bare hands touching other food and it was absolutely DISGUSTING to watch. There was a box of gloves sitting right there and nobody was wearing them. I proceeded to tell the manager how disgusting this was and that he should have better control with his staff and he went into the kitchen and told them to put their gloves on, but how long has this been going on and will it continue after I left?! I should have demanded a total refund and refuse the food and I don't know why I didn't ( probably because I didn't eat all day and was starving) but I will most likely never go back unless somebody calls me to discuss this and shows me the corrections that are done in that place. I may even contact the local health department about this.
Yes, the place is beautiful after the renovation, the acoustics horrible, MANDATORY valet unless you self park around the back ( which I had to do and walk further in the rain today, which is ridiculous) management is not good and the food has failed, but today was...
Read moreWe had been coming to this restaurant for years and it's my friends favorite restaurant so we decided to celebrate her birthday. The service of our waiter was SO terrible I can't even begin! We had to constantly ask for straws, spoons, or other things. Every time he passed us by, we had to ask for it because he either forgets or pays no attention. At the end, we had asked for napoleon cake and he gave us a different cake! He didn't apologize or offered us to exchange or anything. Instead he laughed it off and said, "that tastes good too," and walked away. I seriously HOPE that the manager or owner sees this in their video. We were there on 9/8/25 8-9 p.m. You will be able to see how many times we had to ask for straws or spoons and the disorganization he pulled off throughout the entire experience at the restaurant today. If you see the video, the guys didn't even bother to sing or gather together as they did for other guests. They just didn't care at all and it showed! Who gives out plates while singing or have another join in on the song in the middle and mess up whereas you already did synced presentation with all the other guests besides us? I'm so upset! Waste of a birthday celebration there. We used to know the owner as he was a friend of my friends husband but never will I ever say there was good service after this experience tonight.
Food and the new decor was good. I truly hope establishment takes some action in educating...
