If you are a Nurse who value your residents wellbeing, actually care about people healing then do NOT go here. There is not even basic wound care supplies. You can be sitting at a computer all day inputting orders and not get to anything else . Management focus is not on point, while legs and coccyx are rotting off,no actual team work. One nurse to a 8 Floor building plus memory care on evenings and weekend. If you value your license stay away from here,it won’t matter if you worked 32 hours straight double, they will fire you for invented errors. It is always short staffed 4-5 nurses let go for petty reasons and not replaced while other employees are allowed to be loud and disrespect.Be very careful here!!!Don’t be fooled…The turn over rate is very high,it is not strict for valid reasons,it’s very competitive and lots of taddling..expired medications,no basic wound supplies, patients taking 4 blood pressure medications without checking blood pressure daily, dizzy all the time yet no medication review. As a nurse I have NEVER written a review about a facility and I have worked some odd places but I hope this review helps them treat the nurses better.People are overworked, under staffed.Afraid of losing their jobs or licensed so they are stressed and anxious all the time. Not all the task can be completed they wait til you miss it then they write you up instead of hiring more nurses, there’s only ONE nurse for the entire building for phone calls, wound care, care plans, orders, injections, falls, hospice and All emergencies plus valid complaints from families non stop(like call lights not being answered timely).I guarantee you staff do not know where the emergency binders are or how to even evacuate the building if there’s a fire with a building that’s SOLELY ELEVATOR operated,so many bed ridden residents and no training for new employees.Four months yet not one evacuation training if there’s a fire and your elevator breaks down.Employees do not know where there’s an eye wash station for spills.System needs revamping,it’s not patient focused. If med techs call off don’t go on the cart to pass medications allow management to find registry to do it…it sounds bad but if registry nurse comes they don’t know the residents it takes you forever to pass pills to 3 floors you have to find residents who are not in their rooms, lots of missing meds. They over work you then say you are not performing when you can’t get to something else. If you go there ensure you get proper training even if you are a well seasoned nurse,do not compete with management but actually care, get the training. While there are some GREAT long term staff there like Juliet,Charlotte,(Innete is good at her job she may appear unapproachable but she does her work, and you don’t have to worry as a team leader) Mona is an excellent Med Tech to go for...
Read moreOver a year ago, I made the difficult decision to move my mother from another independent living facility to assisted living at The Club. I was extremely nervous, as she was still mostly independent at the age of 95, but I wanted to make a choice for her before she actually needed more help. There is much negative information out there about assisted living places, but I believe I found the very best place for her. She is now in hospice at the Club, but from the day we moved in until today, we have experienced nothing but the best care for her. There has been no exceptions. People who work there are warm, helpful, friendly and always willing to help with a myriad of issues. I would give a most special acknowledgment to Kathtrin, the Health and Wellness director, who has been the most incredibly kind, knowledgable and loving person to my mom and to our family. I don't know what I would do without this woman-she is an example of when a person finds the most perfect occupation for themselves. Her passion about doing the best for the residents shows in everything she does and I am so very grateful to her. So, residents may complain about food, but my experience has been that this is a common complaint in every place that needs to feed 3 meals a day to large numbers of people. I actually think they try really hard to meet all its residents needs. One more comment about Assisted Living at the Club. Residents have beautiful apartments. They are not on a "unit" with small rooms. They receive as much or as little assitance as they need and all Club activities are available for them. As my mother nears the end of her days, I am grateful that she is at home and that the Club has such a good relationship with Hospice. They have worked as a team and my mother is getting the best care possible. It gives me great comfort to know others care about her and are there...
Read moreWe helped my father move into The Club at the height of COVID. The staff worked with us to make the move quick and efficient, and most importantly safe. COVID made for tough times for everyone as businesses closed and people stayed home, but the team at The Club were always interacting with dad by stopping by his apartment, his table at the restaurant, or when they met in the hallway to say hello, or ask how everything was.
While my father spoke highly of the entire team at The Club, he would also mention those he felt went above and beyond expectations. Just to name a few: Jackie always treated him with great care and respect. He appreciated her caring nature and willingness to help. Rich was also always very kind and patient and made sure that my dad reached his appointments on time and without incident. One of the “go-to” offices my father said he could always rely on was the Concierge’s / front desk team; and last but certainly not least, was the Executive Director, Sara Humphreys. Our father and the whole family appreciated her “hands-on” style. We always knew that if there were any issues or questions we could reach out to Ms. Humphreys who would be quick to respond or help. I will certainly be recommending The Club to family and friends and will be sharing the stories of my father’s positive...
