My mother and step-father loved going to this establishment whenever they would come to visit me. However, we were extremely disappointed with the treatment we experienced. We had walked in and shortly after a group of 5 people walked in and immediately an employee wearing all black pushed passed my mother and warmly greeted the people who arrived after us. He gave them menus and completely disregarded us. My mother immediately addressed the waiter (I'm assuming that he is a waiter) by telling him that it was rude of him pushed passed her to service the group that came in after us. One of the members from the group pointed to us saying "they were here before us." The waiter dismissively said, "oh you can sit anywhere" and proceeded to give menus to the other party and escorted them to sit.
To give a little more context..the waiter appears Caucasian or of European descent, the party of about 5 people who came in after us were also of Caucasian or European descent and we are Black Caribbean. The restaurant was nearly vacant with just a couple of people who were already dining.
We were so appalled and couldn't fathom that treatment especially since it's a staple favorite. After we seated ourselves, mother expressed how horrible, rude and dismissive the waiter was..another waiter wearing white collar shirt and black pants) approached us questioning what happened. My mom relayed the series of events and he apologized for our experience. However, I informed that person that we will not be dining because of the blatant disregard and frankly disrespect we experienced.
This is so unfortunate because they always look forward to breakfast at the Patio whenever the come from out of state...

The fruit was very fresh and flavorful.
I normally wouldn't talk up a waffle, but in this particular case, the consistency/texture was so good, that I should. Crispy ( but not too much ) on the outside, and soft ( but not too soft ) on the outside. Very well made.
Wife loved her eggs. Said the avocado was very ripe and fresh. Said the flavors were nice. I didn't try it. I was to wrapped up in my med rare steak with scrambled eggs and cheese.
Big portion. It came with brown potatoes and toast. Not much one can really say about a staple food here other than the temperature of the steak was right on. Many places get medium rare wrong. The eggs were soft and fluffy. Potatoes were actually good too. Usually don't care for them, but these were also soft and spiced nicely.
Server was super nice, very calm and focused. Couldn't ask for more.
If there's one thing one might gripe about, which would be super Karen-ish , it might be that if you're sat outside as we were, the street noise might be an issue? But it actually wasn't at all. It was really calm and quiet.
That particular street is usually very calm throughout most of the day I think.
And if you're one of those complainers in general, then you should probably sit inside anyway.
Will be...

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly, and the welcoming atmosphere set the tone for a fantastic meal. The restaurant has a cozy, inviting vibe with its outdoor seating area, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal.
The food was outstanding. I ordered the steak fajitas, which were perfectly seasoned and served sizzling hot with all the classic fixings. The flavors were fresh, vibrant, and truly hit the spot. What impressed me even more was the flexibility and attentiveness of the staff. Although burritos weren’t on the menu, I asked if they could prepare one, and they happily accommodated my request. It’s rare to find such personalized service, and it really made the experience feel special.
The service was top-notch from start to finish. Our server was attentive, ensuring our drinks were refilled and that we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. They were knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. It’s clear that the team at The Patio takes pride in their work and genuinely cares about their guests’ experiences.
Whether you're in the mood for traditional Mexican favorites or want to try something new, The Patio of Briarcliff Manor is a gem worth visiting. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu! Highly...
