Farmingdale Village Hall — Local services in Town of Oyster Bay

I was given wrong information by an officer regarding a parking ticket. I received a parking ticket by an officer at the parking lot and when I asked him what could be done about it I was told verbatim “If you look pretty and show up to village hall you can ask one of the nice ladies to have it dismissed since you didn’t know.” That was already an odd comment of it’s own but whatever, lol. When I showed up I was told by Laura that it wasn’t possible to have it dismissed, which is fine but I do think it’s wrong due to the lack of correct information from the officer and the comment made. I very rarely come to town ,but I had to come in to go to the chocolate duck . They are replacing the gas line on main St. The parking is rediculous. In my haste to actually find a spot behind chocolate duck I didn't see the sign for parking. (Employee) I was in the store for no more than 5 minutes., And got a ticket you would think being that with the construction they would not be so strict with parking .I drove around that lot three times . when I went to town hall I was told they can't be concerned with the fact that half of main Street is closed for parking .
