Dominican Restaurant 4 — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

The food is delicious. However, customer service is horrible whether it's delivery or sit down service. In the restaurant the waitress always has a long face, she isn't charismatic, isn't attentive. When ordering over the phone its the same woman she is even worse over the phone. She's rude and arrogant. She holds other conversations, doesn't listen to the entire order, then she makes a mistake and will blame you. It's a shame because the Spanish food is really good but the service sucks. The owner needs to really have a meeting with the staff and explain the importance of restaurant etiquette. Start with a smile and welcome the customer. Over the phone smile and thanked them for calling. Come to the table ask if there's anything else needed, get refills, recomend something delicious on the menu. Service is so slow. Don't act like you are bother by my order. None ever comes back to the table. They need to turn down the music so that the orders may be heard over the phone. Really hope they can fix this or maybe they just need someone else to open up the same kind of business. Nothing like a little bit of competition to change the atmosphere. As far a price its reasonable. I have never used them for catering because of the service. I read the other reviews. I didn't have a problem with the sodium level. If you read it's the same complain the RUDENESS from the waitress. They don't have a poker face you can see that they are truly bothered. The owner should reply and acknowledge customer reviews. Terrible service . I came here with my baby niece , brother and sister in law to enjoy a family dinner after a long week . We ordered 200$ worth of food , and a older lady went on about how we are not allowed to sit here at all . Mean while there are people spending 15$ sitting and eating . I’m not sure if they treat blacks like this , but I’m also Panamanian and just came back from Panama in December for playing pro ball and I overheard her speaking terribly about my family just because whatever arrangement of how we would pay she won’t get a cut unless we sit which she didn’t let us too . Also the place was completely empty only one couple was there. Because this selfish lady wasn’t getting a cut or because we had one plate that was too go she didn’t allot my baby niece to sit and eat . After waiting 1 hour for the food to cook she told my sister again we aren’t able to sit at this point we felt disrespected . And gave them some words ,do NOT eat here . After an exhausting time at Adventureland, I decided to search for some good Dominican food in the area. We landed at this restaurant and I should have gotten up after one of the waitresses had an attitude about sitting down with my children and "that wasn't her table". I sat down patiently for 10 minutes before someone came to hand us menus.

I ordered the Rabo with Morro rice and Maduros. My 3 kids ate the chicken fingers with fries.

After 30 minutes of waiting, the rice had no flavor, the maduros were burnt crisp (looked like they re fried leftovers) and the rabo were so tiny, I was scraping the bone to try to get all the meat off.

Not one time during our meal, did the waiter come over and check in on us, gave us more water or bothered to care.

The bill came out to $28.03 ... I could have gone across the street and enjoyed the meal with a pleasant atmosphere.

Even if I got a free meal, I'd rather give my free voucher to a less fortunate person .. thanks but NO THANKS!! Learn to go back to hospitality school and...
