Super Halal — Local services in Town of Oyster Bay

I like to keep an open minded when I walk into a Halal store but there is only so much I can close my eyes to. I am a man of Indian origin, but stores like this is what makes everybody look bad in the community. They are rude and they rip you off if you aren't one of theirs. The store itself is not clean or a well furnished space. Items don't have a proper place and are scattered everywhere. There is a strong smell of cleaning agents in the air. It definitely is a poor example for the neighborhood and local community. They ripped me off twice with the meats. They pile the good meat up in front for you to see, but they fill your bag from the back which is all bones. They seem to be interested in catering only to those who speak their language. I usually shop at this meat store but i stopped because they are over priced compared to queens. I had to buy a goat leg soo i went back to them. As they already have prepped meat in the bags ready to go, i wanted a goat leg with bigger pieces. When checking me out, he added 1lb extra meat on weighing machine then he removed it soo for 4.5lb goat leg, he charged 5.5lb which came out to be $78. In reality he charged $17/lb when everyone charges $14/lb. His explanation was that because i was not buying the bag meat, and the goat leg was already cleaned…he will charge extra. I will never shop at Super Halal Butcher again. They consistently short customers on products while still charging for the full amount, and I’ve even caught them overcharging on prices. This isn’t a one-time mistake — it’s a pattern.

We trust butchers to be honest with weights and prices, but here you have to watch every move, check every scale, and double-check your receipt. That’s not how a reputable business should operate.
