Patterson Commons — Local services in Town of Patterson

Too small for a strip mall, too far from the village for a proper "commons"... this shopping plaza might be the main hub of commerce in Patterson, but that doesn't make it any less dreary to visit. For one thing, it's not quite within walking distance from the train station (not safely, anyway-- sidewalks, please!), and for another, the selection is uninspired. Acme Supermarket, whose parent company bought up most of the A&P stores when that chain folded, is the sole anchor; other tenants include Dollar Tree, Papa John's, and (most recently) Pet Valu, as well as a pricey hair boutique and a smattering of locally-owned amenities.
