Most predatory cancellation policy I’ve ever seen in my entire life. Also, machines break all the time and it’s a 50/50 chance of whether they get fixed or not (treadmills, hip abductors and adductors, etc). Multiple treadmill belts are not tight enough and have almost caused me to trip more times than I can count. There is also no gender neutral changing room or bathroom, and not really anything done to make the space feel like a safe space for queer people. I highly recommend going with a friendlier gym.
Cancellation policy gripes: you have to cancel via mail, no other way accepted (are we still in the 1980s??). Also, if you bought a year long membership, you are not allowed to even send a cancellation letter to them until the year is over and you’re charged your first month when it switches to a month to month contract. Lastly, they won’t even inform you that your cancellation letter has been received until 30 days afterwards, so you won’t even know if you’re going to be charged another month or not.
Yes, I agreed to these terms and I feel like an idiot for doing so. My goal is to help others realize how ridiculous this policy is and how uncomfortable the space will feel if...
Read moreIn terms of a facility, this is a great gym. 24 hour and a friendly staff.
However, in terms of finances, it is an absolute scheme. I was leaving for two months for an internship so I cancelled my membership. They made me pay for a full extra month before cancelling aka the "fine print" bs. When I came back after my 2 month internship, they wouldn't let me rejoin unless I was willing to pay the full $50 initiation fee. The problem I have is that I told the owner that I would only be gone 2 months and then would come back. So in terms of payment, I really only missed one month (or $20). They wanted me to resume monthly payments plus an entire new initiation fee She could have easily told me it would have saved me money by just continuing with my membership.
Also, the woman I spoke with regarding this issue acted like she was very sympathetic but she spoke to me as if I were a child, which I did...
Read moreI have been a member of Push since day 1 of their opening. Actually, I signed up before they even opened up. I could tell it was going to be a place of integrity where detail is paid attention to because of my meeting with one of the owners Jen. I trusted her that her desire for what this place would be, would in fact be followed through and I am not disappointed at all! Though I am still a long way away from that perfect body, they are always welcoming and friendly and supportive. Those who are very fit and committed to having a healthy body inspire me. The machines are new and if there is ever a mantainence issue, they are right on top of it. This is a hard working family who puts pride in their business. It's too bad people have to be so nasty. This place and these people do not deserve that. It is a wonderful place at a very reasonable price. I have recommended it to many people and...
