Smokin Tails Distillery — Local services in Town of Phelps

This distillery was my favorite stop on our tour of the wine country. The people were very pleasant and the alcohol was just as good. The tasting cost $5 and included 10 different whiskeys/bourbons/moonshines. Along with that, the owner included extra tastings at the end for no extra coat. Every drink that they gave us was well made and all of them tasted fantastic. I will be returning here whenever I find myself in the finger lakes area. (They even had bourbon infused maple syrup that they let us try.)

Smokin' Fails- Sampled all whiskey's. They have quirky flavors and taste candy-ish. Combine that with bottles that look cartoonish and it's as if they're trying to appeal to kids. Have no idea why the four grain won Peter Master Distiller Status. It's okay, but Ive had many better white whiskey's locally in CNY. Staff was very friendly and place was quaint enough. Very poor COVID protection efforts, though. Ill try again when they have a chance to mature as Whisky Makers. Try it yourself, though. But definitely wear an N95 Mask and...

If you want to try quality Moonshine from the Distiller who won " Master Distiller" on the Discovery Channel, this is a must stop. Multiple flavors from Coconut, White Peach, Cinnamon, Peanut Butter, Chocolate Cherry Bon Bon or customers favorite Apple Pie. Highly recommend the Bloody Mary made with Liberty Pepper Moonshine available in 3 styles of spicy. They also serve Wine & Beer and have a great selection of merchandise.
