Tuvias Seforim Judaica & Gifts — Local services in Town of Ramapo

This store is 40-50 minutes out of my way, However I make the drive happen almost 3x a week regardless! And it’s all due to the amazing staff that works here as well as the customers. My first experience here I was shopping for a few kippah’s, browsing around. It was a lot to take in, since Tuvia’s is stocked with almost anything you can think of!

I came back two more times, and on each time I’ve made a friend or two in the store while checking out. On my latest visit a customer paid for my items just because he could tell I was new to the area and he chose to be a kind gentleman that day.

Overall the atmosphere of the store is very welcoming, the staff are helpful and friendly - ready to help you find whatever it is that you may need. Last but not least, the location although it is far from me, I do not mind because there’s a lot to do in the area, with Evergreen being up the road, and a Yeshiva as well off of College Rd, what else can you say? Perfect store, great customer service, high quality products that’ll last a lifetime and kind people all around. Every encounter I have here makes me proud to be a Jew in a world that makes it hard to be Jewish. Thanks for what you do , Tuvia’s may G-d bless...

First the positive. The young man who works at the counter is a delight. He is kind, extremely patient, knowledgable, and helpful. Two more positives about the store is the large selection and the easy return/exchange policy (which makes their high prices worth it in many cases).

However. However, Tuvia himself is sharp and unpleasant to his customers. Having heard the same form other people, I know I'm not alone in my feelings about him. To a lesser extent the woman is as well. (Is that his wife?)

I actually avoid going to the store at times because I might have to deal with someone other than the pleasant young man at the counter. Thankfully, Monsey has enough other stores that I do not need to go to Tuvia's unless they are the only store who has what I want.

With some improved customer service, this store has the potential to be amazing. I honestly, truly wish I could shop there more, but my nerves cannot always...

Great selection of Judaica and gifts. Lots of hard to find Jewish themed books. Great Jewish music CDs, DVDs etc. They don't carry the New Testament. They sell Meat, Dairy and Parve name plates to place above the sinks in a kosher kitchen but they don't include the actual kosher...
