I had THE worst experience when picking up my order.
I called the number listed on the sign and it kept going straight to voicemail. After numerous calls, I called the store directly and directed the call to the pickup extension and someone kept picking up and hanging up without a word.
Finally, I decided to walk into the store and asked to speak to a manager. The manager called the person in charge of the pickup department and that person lied and said he didn't hear the phone ring at all.. okay.
The manager told me to walk to the back of the store for pickup (to digital in the garden). That didn't make any sense to me. I found someone else and asked where I could find the pickup section and he walked me over.
There were two girls in the pickup section. I told them I wanted to pick up my order and they refused. LOL. What? They said, "go back outside and call the store and tell us you are here to pick up your order".
I am right in front of you.. how does that make sense? So I said okay, give me the number to call so I can call while I am standing right in front of you. She looks at the other girl and they laugh like something is funny.
I call the number.
I watched a gentleman towards the back of the pickup section, look at the phone ring (I guess he turned it on after the manager spoke to him) AND HE WAS IGNORING THE CALL until he saw I was looking right at him with the phone to my ear.
He tells the girls to help me with my order. The girl asks me for my last name, finds my order, and then asks what number am I. I said excuse me? She proceeds to tell me to tell her what parking spot I am in so she can bring out my order to my car. LOL. So you can't just hand it to me with me in front of you?
So I walked all the way through the store to get to the exit and then walked to my car where the girl handed me my items while still laughing as if something was funny.
I already did not like shopping at this store but I beg others to steer clear of this location; I never walk away with a good experience. From staff pretending they do not hear you asking for help, to the long lines at customer service because.. what is urgency... the list...
Read moreWent to get a game, found what I wanted, found an associate, told me he'd page for the associate with the key. Now I don't know how it during the day time, but at night I waited for about 30 min. before someone showed up with the key. There were others waiting with me.
When I went to checkout, I let a different guy go first, who paid in cash. Instead of giving the change, for some reason the drawer wudn't open, she continued to my order. The customer asked for change she told him with an attitude that he will get the change when drawer opens.
Now I don't know about you, but we've all been standing around for abt 30 min, waiting, just standing there waiting for someone to open the case. The sales associate should have the commen decency to treat the customer with some respect, especially after making us wait this long.
I'll go here to buy other items, but never again will they get my money for video games or electronics.
PS: On another note, this is from a later time, but I have odd hours of work and thus I am unable to get to the store sometimes. Got off work earlier today and thought, I'll be able to make it. Got here at 11:40pm, that 20min still before closing. I walk to the front to see a group of people around the door with an employee standing there telling them that they're closed.
Now from working in retail I get that you can get frustrated when last minute shoppers come like 5 or 10 min from closing and then spend time looking around instead of getting their last minute thing, but closing earlier!? Never did that. We would close the doors at the closing time and not let anyone in "at closing time"!
By "closing" the store before the closing time on the door all I'm seeing are lazy employees that want to get out asap and on time, not having to deal with customers. This just further solidifies the points I mentioned in my previous entry. The customer service here at night is terrible and needs to be reeducated. You don't see this happening at ShopRite right next door. They're always courteous and help you cause in their mind helping the customer find their items faster means getting them out the...
Read moreEverything I needed to find that o was looking for I found it here at the Wal-Mart in Ramapo.
The only issue I have is with the customers. I had a full cart of at least 23+ items and was at the checkout line being rung up by an attendant.
There was no one behind me when I got to the conveyer and he started ringing me up, but all of a sudden as he was ringing up my purchases is when I turned to look behind me to see there were 6 customers behind me, each with 2 to 5 items in their hands and nasty grouchy faces on them. However, there was only 1 person using the self-checkout kiosks.
Now wouldn't common sense dawn on them to use any of the other self-checkout kiosks if they had but a few items and would be easier for them to checkout their purchases and go about the rest of their day? BUT NO.... They all wanted to be waited on by the Register Associate. So they all stood there behind me mumbling under their breath and trying to hurry me and the Associate along.
I mean, how technically challenged are the customers waiting in line that they couldn't just as easily use the self-checkout kiosks?
I am partially disabled and I cannot be made to rush and exert myself, nor can I get into words with people because I cannot have my anxiety and blood pressure soar through the roof but really, are people so inconsiderately lazy, crass, and inept that they can't realize that they could actually go over to Self-Checlout and ring up their purchases and be on their way out of the store in less time than it was taking my purchases to be rung up?
For that matter why couldn't there be a Register - Sales Checkout Associate around to direct these customers to Self-Checkout? It just gets under my skin to see people act so hopelessly unintelligible and imprudent.
Other than this small hiccup everything else was fine with 5his Wal-Mart. They had everything I needed and the staff I talked to were very glad to help me find what I wanted. Itwas still worth putting the extra mileage on my vehicle to come to this store . Price wise, it wasn't too bad. I rather enjoyed myself at...
