Save your money. It's cost over $120.00 for 4 people with the arcade card. Then still had to pay for shoes once we got there. Not a single person that helped us seemed to be happy or even nice. They all were annoyed from the second we walked in. We were assigned lane 10 which we shared with a group of people, The lane next to us opened up before we started so I asked if we could move. The guy was so annoyed that I had asked and was like "I can't promise no one will be there" all while rolling his eyes with a nasty attitude. I was like that's OK the other side had 6 people and we were only 4 so I wanted to give them a little space. Once we started playing, lane 11 started jamming up. I walked back up to the guy at the counter he was like how can I help you. I was like 11 isn't working. He said ok said nothing more and went about his business. I could tell he pushed a button or something but when it didn't fix itself a few minutes later I went back again and again you could see he was annoyed I was back. He looks at me and is like they are working on it. When it finally started up again it wasn't stacking the pins right but we were so scared to go up again we just played the rest of the hour with it not setting the pins correctly. The upside is our scores were higher because of the stacking. After we finish our time bowling, I go to get the $10.00 cards for the arcade thinking each person would get one however, a second guy with a $hitty attitude cames out and was like it's not per person it's 2 for 1.5 hours. So, we go in with 2 $10.00 cards, I put another $20 on a card. We end up with 670 tickets. The prizes are so over priced. A matchbox car is 500 tickets.... a Pez dispenser is 650 tickets. All of the other toys were so many tickets or were such crap. We ended up with the Pez dispenser and a plastic dolphin. Complete and utter waste of money. Pretty much $40.00 for a piece of candy. Next time taking the ride to Wildwood bowling ally and Dave...
Read moreI really don’t post one star reviews, especially for a place that I’ve been to and enjoy going to but I HOPE THIS FINDS ITS WAY TO MANAGEMENT. However my last experience, dealing with the bartender Inga, who me and my fiancé have dealt with before, really pushed me past my limits on lack of customer service. Upon receiving my check I noticed it was a little high for what I bought. She noticed this and tried to walk away but I stopped her and asked for an itemized receipt. To my astonishment she had added an “Auto Gratuity” of 20% for my party of 4 people. I did not receive this “auto gratuity” for the same exact drinks we got from our server at our lane who was more than attentive to our party even being next to a birthday party of 15 kids, deep in the corner of the bowling alley.
Not only did she do this, she also served me a pitcher of beer for my party, didn’t need anyone else’s ID’s but when I asked for something else, since my fiancé doesn’t drink beer, that raised a red flag and I had to get my fiancé to get up and go to the bar to show her ID even though when she did the bartender didn’t ask her for it.
All in all, very long winded but this isn’t our first run in with Inga at the bar and maybe someone to tell her it’s not okay to sneak in an “Auto Gratuity” and then make the excuse that the computer automatically does it. If I’m wrong show me and I’ll change my posting but as a manager myself I would not stand for service like that to any of...
Read more"There are no refunds for bowling". This sign is posted at the register when you pay. It's there for a reason.
If you enjoy the general experience of being in a bowling alley, this place is great. It has a nice atmosphere, decent food and its clean. If you want to bowl, go somewhere else. Here are a few reasons:
You typically pay by the hour to bowl. If you have technical problems (you will), thats time you lose. They don't add time back while you wait; you just lose it. (When we told them our touch screen didn't work they suggested we play without it because if they fixed it we would lose the time it took to fix it. This was before we even started our game) No one cares. The employees just don't care. If you have problems, don't expect anyone to apologize or do anything to make it right. *(One exception was the server for our area. He was polite and helpful.) They are understaffed (maybe this explains #2). This would not be a big deal if it weren't for #1. But if you're paying by the hour, having to stand in line for 10 minutes to order drinks becomes a problem.
I really wanted to like all star. I gave it multiple chances and even hosted a birthday party there, but it's been a consistently frustrating experience. If you're doing all you can bowl later at night, you'll probably be happy with it, but otherwise, if you want to have fun instead of frustration, try...
