Absolutely no health and safety protocols in place - staff not wearing masks behind counter - children without masks coughing and touching grapes and fruit. Suffolk County Heaith Deot. Being Called!!
Service was terrible ordered breakfast sandwiches - they were busy understandable- checked in on how much longer after already waiting 25minutes they told me people ahead of me waiting 30minutrs fine I asked if it would be an additional 30 minutes they answered no - another 25 minutes goes by and they just started cooking!!
I work in service industry so understand the busy holiday season and excited to see business striving especially local But When I left without my 4 breakfast sandwiches after 45 minutes waiting in an unhealthy environment- the owner calls out - Byeeee in her snarky could care less if I ever returned response that did it for me !! I’ve supported this business for years and finally realized they don’t care about their clients!!

Read moreStopped by Sabor Latino in Riverhead and had a really good experience! The deli has a nice variety of Latin American dishes, from hot prepared foods to fresh sandwiches and snacks. Everything I tried was flavorful and felt authentic.
The staff were friendly and efficient — even during a busy lunch rush, I didn’t feel ignored or rushed. The space itself is bright and clean, with clear signage and an easy layout for walk-ins. Portions are generous and the prices are fair, making it a great spot for a quick, satisfying meal.
A couple of minor things: the hot food selection was a bit limited when I visited, and the dining area could use a little updating to make it feel even more inviting. Parking on Old Country Rd can also be tight during peak hours, so plan accordingly.

Read moreAmerican Deli Latino is fantastic! I go there at least once a week, and bring home the most delicious food. There are a few tables there and they have a market in the back. Their online menu only shows you a fraction of what's available and it doesn't represent (at all!) the array of spectacular home cooked dishes. Some of my favorites are the shrimp ceviche, beef or chicken soup (loaded with yucca, corn and delectable broth), tamales, roasted pork, stewed chicken, and yellow or white rice with black beans. It's also the quickest home cooking you're going to get - everything is ready to be packed and if it's there it's freshly made, no matter how late in the day you go. They're usually open until 9pm.
Go there! See all the dishes for...
