The All Star Grill — Restaurant in Town of Riverhead

I have come here many times in the past and have had a great experience. Not sure if they are under new management or not but I took my family here this year and was highly disappointed. The drink my sister ordered was horrible and couldn’t drink it so we sent it back( which we never do). My chicken sandwich that I ordered was not supposed to be spicy but they used spicy chicken. Not what I wanted but it is what it is. The food took quite some time to arrive at our table so I didn’t send it back because I didn’t feel like waiting for the correct sandwich I ordered. Which we weren’t a big table and the restaurant wasn’t busy so I’m not sure why it took so long. My mother ordered a steak sandwich which she did not eat, she did not like her sandwich and said the steak was hard has a rock. Even the chicken fingers I ordered for my nephew was not appetizing at all. No silverware was provided I got up and got it myself for my sister to eat her steak. We waited a few minutes to flag down a server or someone but no one was to be found. No salt or pepper either. I’m not one to write bad reviews but I am so disappointed. I have taken my family there several times.. Food .. is good.. typical bar type..fast food with a better quality compared to what’s served at 80 percent of the other Riverhead restaurants..great for kids with the typical chicken nuggets.. cheese sticks burgers etc.. my wife had fish and chips which was very flavorful for a deep fried fish. The Bar&Grill area is nice and roomy .. typical sports type pub atmosphere.. clean and well maintained.. men’s bathroom has always been clean every time I’ve gone in.. a filthy bathroom says a lot about a place .. when the servers and wait staff aren’t on their cellphones the service is much better.. but that distraction with this younger generation seems to be be a plague in the industry.. I always reflect the tip in the service if there on the ball ..$...

Food was good but other factors totally ruined it! The hostess was a wreck, we asked for a table or booth and was told that there would be a short wait, no problem. A short 5 mins later we returned and she brought us to a high top table, which we specifically noted 5 mins earlier we didn't want as we had 2 toddlers with us. Well, suddenly there was a 30 min wait. With 2 toddlers, we couldn't spare another 30 mins so at the high top we sat. Before our food came out our 4 year old went tumbling out of the chair and bloodied her lip. Then the server messed up our order 6 times! 6, yes SIX- how's that even possible! He promised to take my meal off the bill, then forgot! Oh and when I took my bloodied 4 year to the bathroom, 3 cockroaches scattered in the stall. Let's just say we won't...
