Haven Market — Local services in Town of Rockland

My go to shop for my fruits/veggies!!! As a Vegetarian fresh fruits and vegetables are essential to my diet. There's slim pickings at the grocery store but here at Fare Haven they get fresh produce in every week and are ensuring their produce is fresh and stocked. Also, they carry things that can not be grown locally so in Winter months/early Spring I especially I depend on Fare Haven for my food. They also carry some dried goods and bathroom essentials that are sustainable. They work hard to get the lowest prices to their costumers and get in quality/organic products/produce. You may also find the tastiest produce here when it's in season because they actually eat this stuff too so they are selective in what they are buying! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Love this place. I've been shopping here weekly since they opened. I disagree with the negative, anonymous (no real name) review. I watch the prices for organic produce at Shoprite and Aldi and if Shoprite has strawberries on sale, then there is a huge mark-up on peppers or avocados. It is hard to compete with chain stores buying in large quantities, and the bad review was written in winter - not our growing season in the North East. If you eat mainly organic - it is more expensive than conventional, even if you shop at a large chain store. Fare Haven's produce is very good looking and it's easy to fill a basket with wholesome food and it will be pricey. This store is clean, reliable, always fresh, they research the brands they carry and now have delicious sandwiches and soups. I love to support small local businesses who are happy to accommodate...

Far Haven Farmacy couldn't be more true to their name. They provide an incredible service to the community offering a huge variety of locally grown or sourced produce. They also have a section of prepared foods like soups, sandwiches etc, as well as snacks. Living upstate it is very tough to find organic, clean foods (never mind vegan), they hit all the marks and even have coconut yogurt, cashew cheeses etc... On top of all of this they are the sweetest, knowledgable, and passionate folks we could ask for. And lastly, they offer everything at wholesale prices with just a sliding scale donation (they are a non-profit) with the order. I am happy and proud to support this...
