A Confusing Coffee Experience
I recently visited a coffee place that left me feeling quite frustrated due to its misleading entrance and confusing ordering procedure. Although the coffee itself was satisfactory, the initial experience left a lot to be desired.
Upon arrival, I was taken aback by the poorly marked entrance. The signage was not clear, and I found myself walking past the coffee shop multiple times before realizing where the entrance was located. This lack of clear direction was an immediate turnoff and set the tone for the rest of my visit.
Once inside, I expected a straightforward ordering process. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Instead of a visible and obvious counter, the ordering area was hidden behind a side door. As a result, many customers, including myself, 3 customers that I noticed within 15 minutes ,were left confused and unsure where to go. This confusion caused delays and led to unnecessary waiting times, which can be frustrating, especially for those seeking a quick morning coffee fix. While trying to navigate the confusing setup, I approached one of the staff members to express my confusion. Instead of offering assistance or understanding, the employee responded with a dismissive attitude. Her comment, "We've been here for 3 years, everybody's fine with it-here is your coffee-thank you and goodbye" was unprofessional and showed a complete disregard for my concerns. It was clear that the employee had no interest in addressing the issue or improving the...
Read moreFirst of all, the food here is so delicious! I would give this place 5 stars if it was just based on that. The bagel sandwich I ordered was filled with of fresh veggies, and the bagel itself was great for upstate NY. The chocolate chip cookie was also one of the best I’ve ever had. Also loved the strawberry matcha latte. I am just a little put off by the atmosphere and service. I stopped in on my four hour drive, and I specifically chose this place because I noticed it had nice seating and felt like a cozy, sit-down cafe to rest in. I put my things down at a table, then went to the counter to order my food, and to look for hand sanitizer and a glass of water. I didn’t see water cups or hand sanitizer, so I asked the worker for some water. She told me it would be 50¢ lol. It was fine, I paid for it, but just felt weird, as water is usually free if you’re sitting down in a cafe to eat. I also asked to use the bathroom, as I still wanted to clean my hands, and I am pregnant. The worker told me they don’t have a bathroom, and that I could go to the gas station down the street. I ended up eating quickly so I could get to the gas station bathroom. I just thought these little things made the experience feel uncomfortable. There are other cafes nearby that offer free water and restrooms, so I’d probably choose one of those, instead, if you want to sit down to relax and...
Read moreBring back the Papa Smurf and the Caprese, I beg of you!! My fiancé and I are from Queens but are seasonal campers at a close by campground, and we stumbled upon this place one day last summer, and got these sandwiches and loved them so much we came back about 10 more times with friends, for birthdays, for brunch, for whatever, everyone loved it. This year we came in to start the season off right and both of our sandwiches were gone. Very upsetting. The sandwiches we got were fine but no comparison. Being a vegetarian, finding something like the Papa Smurf is rare and I truly loved it. I even told the chef it is the best sandwich I’ve ever had in my entire life and I meant it. Always thanked him for killing it every time we were there. I’ve never done that in a restaurant before. I’m not someone to go up to someone and say things like that but I needed him to know that I felt that I was in the presence of a God lol. Anyways, at least consider it? Like they say, “if it ain’t broke,...
