No longer has a consignment/donation store. Many businesses are closed. Tops is understocked, has limited variety compared with other stores within locale, is very expensive, is dirty and often has expired goods on shelves. Rite Aid is worthwhile and a good business but currently in process of restocking after corporate bankruptcy. Veterinarian is affordable, great service. Pawn shop is a rip off as buyer or seller. Vision works has opticians but no optometrist on staff, they have very limited options/low quality products, they lack equipment to test individuals at risk for carotidconis(sp?) and service is very impersonal/cold. Bargain store has a strange variety of stock and replaced a much more useful hardware store/gardening center, Rainbow is pretty awesome if you're into eye catching clothes or are husky. Theres 2 hair shops selling extensions and jewelry/cosmetics (they definitely don't live up to what was provided by the Sally beauty supply they replaced). Metro is affordable and gives good service: but refurbished supplies are very limited. There is a giant smoke shop that does well but I don't smoke :/. The laundry mat is always open and easily accessible to those in need. The fish fry is hit and miss depending what you order...prices are great though! McDonald's is either wonderful (at breakfast time) or the worst experience of your life(anytime outside breakfast). The plasma bank attracts many impoverished/homeless/drug addicted/disabled people due to the pay they give donors. You will see a line of these people waiting to get cash for blood before they open daily. The dollar store is always packed, costs more than $1, has a nice variety of stock, is hit or miss as to whether what they usually stock will/won't be there when you need it and has competent/amicable staff. I have never been in the Asian grocer or ordered food from the Chinese takeout shop but am happy they're available and look forward to becoming a customer when I have funding within my budget to do so. There's a big tent on certain days that sells "fireworks" that are legal in NYS. Let's be real though: they're overpriced here and PA is just a hop, skip and jump away with knowledge that local police are too busy with more obtrusive incidents to worry about you smuggling them and/or lighting off NYS legal/illegal varietals given you maintain proper safety protocol in an unobtrusive/safe area to do so... especially in late June/all of July. The pizza place is non existent despite still appearing open. The liquor store has very limited stock if you have any taste or creativity with cocktails/wine/champagne/liqours/aperitifs/digestifs/single beverage alcoholic drinks (ie: Whiskey, Scotch, Bourbon, Brandy, Gin, Rum, Vodka, etc.): especially en lieu of imports/specialties (ie: Bordeau, Montepulciano, Grand Marnier, Sambuca, Chambörde, Chartreuse, Alizée, bitters, Pimm's, etc.). Small batch brewery beer is impossible as you only have the gas station or Top's selling it. The gas station is medium size, always busy, bathroom is disgusting as with any and has a decent selection (I don't drive so can't relate gas pricing). The furniture store is one of those wholesale rent to own via a credit line places and I suspect they get their pieces by selling off product that doesn't meet factory distribution inspection protocol for brand name/retail sales (ie: factory rejects). The can return closed. Behind the laundry mat there are overflowing dumpsters with trash strewn about the lot/ground/walkways that smell like sun boiled death filled with old, rotting food waste and infested with insects because somebody doesn't feel like getting them emptied but instead keeps accumulating more dumpsters (theres at least 5 of them). The parking lot is a crash pit filled with potholes that is akin to running a gauntlet to make it through in one piece whether pedestrian or vehicle. There is a noticable lack of signage/indicators to tell vehicles how to behave. There's always people begging outside stores. Entire plaza smells of cheap smokes. Drug deals/use in...
Read moreIt is hard to rate a plaza itself, but I guess the variety of stores presenting a "one stop shop" experience would be the largest attraction and contrivution to the usefulness of any shopping plaza. There is an Auto Parts store, Grocery store, Variety store, Dollar store, optician, a few others and several restaurants. So, as far as "one stop shopping" is concerned, the different stores lack cohesiveness to support a single shopping outing. For instance, rarely do I go grocery shopping and, Oh by the way, need to pick up a muffler for my car also. Rather, I do feel Shop City is convenient for a quick stop to any of the stores individually. There is plenty parking and it is never crowded. City bus services is convenient to Shop City as well. One restaurant in particular is Fish Cove. They serve fish and other seafoods nicely done with sides available. The food is good. Could use a bit more seasoning, however, it is still good. It is cash only, ATM inside. On Fridays there are long lines. Shop City is on the back side of Eastwood headed toward Lyncourt off...
Read moreThis appt on 11/14/2024 Dr.Wang changed our lives in a forever way. We lost our precious Bella under her care. I would not recommend her to anyone. She went into get spayed, and she ruptured her kidney, and she went into cardiac arrest and died. She left us with so much sorrow. Her bedside manner was absolutely horrible in that time. I felt she just wanted to continue talking as if she was trying rid what happened off her conscience to feel better to lay her head down at night. Damage was done. I wanted my dog. We said we wanted her and not listen to her ramble, and she continued, and we had to be very loud and tell her we wanted Bella!!!! I will not stop. I will tell everyone who she is what she did. My voice will be heard, Dr. Wang!!! If I could give a negative star review, I would have. I...
