My girlfriend and I went to see Lala Land last night. Almost every seat in the theater was ripped or torn. Some of them even had tape on them holding them together. The movie was set to start at 9:15 pm, once we got to the theater the early movie was still playing. Not a big deal we were a bit early but it still was cutting it close.
The first showing of the movie let out at 9:10 and we head in. After selecting the least damaged seat we could find we begin to wait. At about 9:25 the movie still hasn't started, not even previews just a black screen. But we could hear the bass from all the movies around us so at least we had noise. After checking the tickets and the theater number to confirm we were in the right theater I went and found a worker asking him to start the movie.
After walking back to the orginal theater we were in the worker informs us that we are actually in the wrong theater and the movie was starting in a diffrent theater that was labeled for another movie and a diffrent number then what was on our tickets. Thankfully we didn't miss any of the movie.
Approximately 40 minutes into the movie another 6 people entered the movie, they were not disruptive I just found it odd.
Overall I don't plan on returning the theater was not a...
Read moreAuburn Movieplex has become a leading light for movie goers in the CNY area over the past five years. I mean it - along with major investments in better seating (awesome, massive, plush recliners) and high quality picture and sound, I can't say enough about the film selection. To have a ten-screen locally-owned theater in this day in age is rare enough. That the management team often packs the theater with 12 to 13 different films a week is amazing. Auburn Movieplex always has the latest in the big releases, and my daughter has loved going to see all her new favorites from Moana 2 to Paddington 3. As a big fan of independent film, AMP has remained stellar. To be able to stay in Auburn and see movies like The Brutalist, Mickey 17, Opus - and that's just the tip of the iceberg - its amazing. And, please, the prices, people. As Regals continue to jack up their ticket costs, two matinee tickets today were still just 15 bucks. That's incredible. Get...
Read moreBrought my family to see the new Avengers movie on April 26, 2019 8pm showing. Don't waste a dime on this place. The new chairs are so tall that you'll leave with a sore neck after trying to see the bottom four feet of the screen. The popcorn was bland and the drinks had little to no taste. The temperature in the theater had to be at least 80, we were soaked by the end of the movie. We also had to sit through twenty minutes of tv commercials with only two short coming attractions and the volume was ear piercing through those. Since when did they start playing that many tv commercials at a paid for theater before the movie begins? When the other movies were done there were hooting and hollering for at least twenty minutes where we wondered how the staff was allowing this. We got the answer to that when we left and there wasn't a single staff member present and most overhead lights were off. If I could rate it...
