Panera Bread — Restaurant in Town of Sennett

Used to be great. Lately though, the service has been AWFUL.

The employees always look like they would rather die than be there most of the time. The tables in the dining area are often dirty.

I’ve been served a sandwich where the top and bottom slices of bread aren’t even the same kind of bread.

I had a brand new gift card from Christmas, an employee told me it was empty. I told him that didn’t make any sense, since it was a brand new gift card. But instead of saying it politely, he took my card from my hand, handed it back with the receipt and said “should I call a manager?” with more attitude than necessary.

I ordered a different meal than my usual. The sandwich was made pretty wrong. Not one, but BOTH things I asked to be removed were present on the sandwich in large quantities. I called to ask if I could have a replacement delivered, since I was already at work and didn’t want to leave to drive across town to pick up a sandwich that should’ve been made correctly in the first place. The manager stated that it could not be delivered since I was .2 miles outside of the delivery area. The building is located on the far side of Grant Ave headed toward Elbridge, which really limits where they can deliver to within the city since they’re a pretty far distance from most of the residential area of Auburn.

I ordered online at 12:10PM with a 12:20PM pick-up time for a salad and bread. I got in line at 12:15PM as the line was 6-7 cars deep. As I waited, I noticed that orders being placed at the drive-thru where delaying the process as the drive-thru customers were not moved forward so the online orders could be picked up. Sixteen (16) minutes, 12:36PM after my schedule pick up time I got my time at the window, my order was ready and when I got to the office my order was shorted. After waiting 26 minutes from my order time, expecting 10 minutes of the time as defined by Panera as prep time, I was expecting my order to be correct. Update went here the other week with my son. They were again out of the thing I wanted. The steak asiago bagel. Settled for a bbq chicken sandwich and tomato soup. Barley any chicken or onion. My son's mac and cheese bread bowl was small. He's 9 and was still hungry. The bread was too hard to eat.Portions always suck. Prices are too high to justify what is being served. I won't be back to the Panera chain again. It's not just this restaurant. It's the chain itself.It's sad because they used to be awesome.......They were out of pickled onions for my sandwich. Also out of chips for sides. Other than that the service was quick...
