PLS AVOID PURCHASING FROM HERE! BED BUG ALERT!

My dad, who is fighting cancer, recently purchased a couch for 85$. Upon delivery discovered it's infested w/bed bugs! (gross) I called mgmt & politely asked for some sort of remediation. All I got was a half-hearted "sorry"..uncaring stating "All sales are final. All items sold as-is" refused to pick the couch back up to trash it for my dad, refused to do anything--couldn't even show sympathy (and that is free).

I understand it's a used store; but even more so, to have no policy/protocol? They "TRY" to check for bed bugs. He admitted they don't always. They're not even checking if a couch/ something large has bed bugs..imagine clothing & all the other items!?

Exterminator I spoke w/said likely the entire store is infested! I communicated that. mgmt showed NO CONCERN for items that are currently possibly infested & set to be sold. St. V could be responsible for spreading bed bugs to the entire town of Sheboygan! This is serious & upsetting.

BUYER BEWARE!!

PS: for a "charity" space that is supposed to HELP ppl & do GOOD... to have the most un-sympathetic manager (who has worked there for 18 yrs) makes NO sense. Please. Get someone who actually cares & is a decent human being to...

Nice selection for a thift store! Prices are decent, too! The downside to this shopping trip? The staff.... 3 out of 4 of the "clerks" were just plain rude & obviously dislike interacting with others let alone have any customer service skills. The lady checking me out handed me the receipt after I used the PIN pad to pay for my purchase with my debit card & made it clear that she was disgusted (by loud sighs & comments to other staff) with my response of saying "thank you" & putting the receipt in my wallet. For some reason the receipt needed my signature but since I just ran my card as debit & entered my PIN I wasn't expecting to have to sign anything. When I began to walk away the clerk acted appalled that she actually had to speak to me & asked if I really didn't realize that she needed my signature. I can do without all the huffing & puffing & eyerolling & complaining. For the record- the 1 employee who wasn't rude & miserable did try to help a customer deal with an unruly child &...

Go to thrift store for a good selection of shoes for men, women, and children compared to Goodwill, and at good prices; The media section is usually better as well - less traffic = better selection of vinyl! Furniture has sales monthly, as well as tag sales on certain items and tag colors that rotate by week and season.

Clothing selection is mostly women's clothing, but there are a few aisles of men's/children's to browse through. Toys can be hit or miss, but the board games and puzzles I've grabbed almost always have all the pieces (a small miracle in a thrift store!) Electronics are rare, but are all marked if tested for working condition, and have a return policy of a week to be refunded either way.

Staff is always friendly, and will help with any questions and price items missing tags...
