EXCELLENT HOSPITALITY: Momma Hope and Chef J took such good care of us on our recent visit to Royalty Food For Soul. My husband and I felt like part of the family within minutes of our visit. The dining room is modest with 4 tables.

FLAVOR: whoa! If I could only describe it with one word … I would have to say … YUM! Their fried chicken is probably the best I’ve ever had with a crunchy, crispy shell and juicy meat. The collard greens and French fries were on point. My husband got the jerk chicken & rice, which was tender, bursting with flavor and so delicious! We were so busy stuffing our faces that I didn’t get photos of dinner. So we came back for breakfast a couple days later! The breakfast bowl, plus sausage and grits hit the spot.

MUST VISIT!!! This is the spot to come to if you are traveling anywhere near Sodus, NY. Get your food to-go if you don’t have time to sit down.

Royalty Food for Soul is a nice little restaurant that serves a variety of food for take out including fried chicken, Hamburgers and Hot dogs, Shrimp, Mac and cheese and much more. They are takeout only and you can order inside and wait but it's easier to call ahead for pick up. During certain days of the week they have great lunch and dinner specials and their Friday fish fry plates are really good. The restaurant is located on Main Street in downtown Sodus and parking can be tricky but there is street parking and other places to park within a walking distance. The inside is still under small renovation but it looks great and the vibe is cool and casual with nice lighting and good views of the street. The people here were very friendly and hospitable and the food was outstanding! 😋 The price on food and drinks were pretty good and this seems like one of the cheapest in the area for good comfort food. I will definitely be ordering...

I travel for work and always make a point to stop at local spots to get a real feel for the town and it's people. Every place in unique, and I've met some truly interesting folks along the way. Royalty Food for Soul in sodus did not disappoint!

Driving by, I noticed a sign that said they serve breakfast, so I decided to stop in. Right away,I was greeted with a warm smile and a genuinely friendly woman who made me feel right at home. She told me the special -grits, eggs, and meat of my choice. Naturally, I went with bacon.

She cooked the meal herself, and let me tell you- it was awesome. The grits were creamy, the eggs where perfect, and the bacon was just how I like it. I added some Red hot to the grits of course :) .
