Endicott Agway — Local services in Town of Union

Endicott Agway, a Store where you can find a little bit of this and that and everything else. Over the years my family, starting with my grandparents my parents, my sister and her family and myself, had shopped at Endicott Agway. The prices are competitive with other star sign the same types of merchandise. OneMain different thing between Endicott Agway and other stores are the Endicott Agways employees. For three years, 24/7 I had the wonderful opportunity of spending that time with my loving mother. Every 1st of the month when mom got her social security we would stop at Agway so Mom could buy her wild bird seed, suet, crack corn, salted peanuts and whatever else she decided to feed the wildlife. Over the course of those few years, the employees we're always friendly, polite, very helpful, they had knowledge of what the store sold and what the store did not sell. The employees got to know Mom from her first of the month visit to gather her feeding for her wildlife. All the employees that we encounter there have always been courteous, happy and talkative unlike some stores where you go in and you feel like the cashier is a programmed robot. I cannot believe this actually happened but I will describe this for everyone. I walked into the store and asked where a certain product was. The girl at the counter directed me to the correct aisle as the store manager repeated what she had said. I walk to the aisle and started perusing the products to see which one I wanted to buy. Apparently the store manager thought that because of the way I looked or the way I told her that I didn't need any help oh, she assumed that I must be there to steal something. As I stood for maybe three minutes I looked over the different products that I wanted to buy she stood maybe 10 feet for me pretending to inventory products in the aisle. She followed me back to the register as I paid and walked out. I was actually profiled by this woman thinking that I was going to steal something from the store. I was extremely offended and I will never spend another dime in Agway ever again. Clean, friendly staff for the most part and pricing is relatively competitive to some of the evil big boxes. Feel better about spending a few more cents with a local company rather than funding a CEO's vacation home. The layout hasn't changed much, making the items easy to find and if you can't, just reach out to ask one of the employees. They are always well staffed and you can bring your PUP in here if you would like!
