BUYER BEWARE: I bought a generic replacement lamp for my Epson projector from Projectorquest. Their lamp gave out after only 3 months and 28 days of use. I bought from these guys because the OEM's from Epson .com were out of stock. I knew going in that buying a generic was a gamble. Luckily I was on auto-notify with Epson and about 2 months into using Projectorquest's generic lamp, I got an email that Epson .com had OEM's back in stock. I ordered a couple of OEM lamps directly from Epson, but continued using the generic lamp from Projectorquest (why take out a working lamp, right?!). Well, 7 weeks later when Projectorquest's generic lamp died, I already had a box full of brand new genuine Epson goodness sitting right there ready to go. Thanks Epson. Btw, I have owned a lot of different projectors over the years and have bought/used a bunch of generic lamps from many different suppliers and the generic lamp from Projectorquest was THE WORST ONE I've ever owned. I only buy generics in a pinch. I've had good luck with some generic lamps over the years. Generic lamps seem to be getting worse as the years go by. They used to be ok in a pinch. I've had generics last 18 months or more. That's rare, but they average 12-14 months. So yeah, generics are a gamble and don't last a super long time, and they don't have the greatest color or clarity all the time (especially as they age), but they shouldn't die after only 3 months and 28 days worth of usage. Oh yeah, also, in the last 3 weeks of using Projectorquest's generic POS lamp, it was looking like garbage image-wise. So I knew it was ready to die at any time. I just wanted to see how long it might last. Not long as it turns out. Would give Projectorquest zero stars in this...
Read moreWas a little skeptical to order from a lesser known supplier, but the price was much lower than every other site we’ve checked. I ordered on a Saturday, and noticed their website said if ordered by 1pm it would ship SAME day. Today is Wednesday and the item has not even been dropped off for shipment. Due to 3 hour time difference between the office and warehouse, calling the company as they open (9 am EST) is useless. Don’t order from Buyquest/ ProjectorQuest if you have any type of deadline you need to meet. Company is based in NY but warehouse/items are in California. The “Customer Service” team does not display the “exceptional customer service” that is described on ProjectorQuest’s website and become upset with the customer when they cannot provide all the answers because they are “just customer service”. I have spoken with Nicole multiple times about my order that was placed on Saturday—at this point I cannot get a clear answer on why my product has not been taken to USPS, let alone been shipped out; Nicole’s only reply is that we are still within the timeframe of 3-5 business days for the item to reach me. Hoping my order works out for the best, and the item I receive is in working condition and is compatible with my projector. Per other reviews, it seems there is a chance the product I receive may not be a...
Read moreI am extremely unhappy with Projectorquest AKA Buyquest. First, I bought their cheapest replacement bulb for my projector. I plugged it in to my projecter after the return window. I didn't work. Projectorquest told me that I could return it even after the return window if I bought a more expensive bulb. They said they would return the money for the original bulb after I made the purchase of the more expensive bulb. I bought the more expensive bulb and I am still waiting for the refund of the less expensive bulb. I have tried to contact them sooooooo many times for six months and they don't respond. Also, the more expensive bulb "blinks" sometimes. I will never get my money back from them. ...
