The visit began nicely. The hotel appears to be in the process of remodeling, therefore we were walking around construction materials (carpeting being installed) down our hallway. Construction is not a quiet activity and this was no exception. The men were laying carpet at 7:30 a.m. a few doors down from our room. What we found most entertaining is upon check in we had to sign a "quiet clause" agreeing that we would be quiet between certain hours. I guess that only applies to guests. My husband was not comfortable on the bed. There was a dripping coming from the outside (we were on the second floor, it was the air conditioner dripping). It was freezing cold in the second floor hallways and in our room. We turned off the AC and added another blanket. On the second morning the orange juice was only water. Another customer said something to the staff and then my husband also said something. Finally the OJ container was changed. The yogurt offered was frozen solid both days. We originally were supposed to stay three nights. On the second day we decided we would check out. We told the clerk at the desk who only said, "I'm so sorry. I hope you'll come back again soon!!" On the morning of checkout we again made these comments to the front desk clerk (a different person) and she didn't even give us a comment, only asked what room we were in and are we using the same credit card for billing purposes. Rather disappointing as we had been looking forward to our trip to the Finger Lakes and relaxing. Instead we came home exhausted.
UPDATE: WITHIN MINUTES OF ME POSTING THIS REVIEW (HERE AND AT THE BEST WESTERN WEBSITE) THE HOTEL MANAGER CALLED ME. APOLOGIZED PROFUSELY, HAD ALREADY CREDITED US ONE NIGHT OF OUR STAY, AND SAID HE WOULD USE MY COMMENTS IN THE STAFF MEETING THE NEXT DAY. HE ALSO TOLD ME TO CONTACT HIM PERSONALLY IF WE COME BACK AND HE WILL MAKE SURE THINGS ARE TOP NOTCH FOR US. HE DID ALSO SAY THAT I WAS NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO COMPLAINED ABOUT THE CONSTRUCTION NOISE AND THAT WOULD BE ADDRESSED WITH...
Read moreI wish I could give this zero stars. I stayed at this hotel back in April, 2022. In July, I got a call from my bank letting me know one of my accounts was overdrawn, so I went to check. Turns out Best Western randomly charged me $210 dollars. No, not on the credit card I used to book and pay for the room, but on my debit card they required me to use to pay a pet deposit. I was informed this was a $50 dollar holding fee, and the money would be returned to me after I checked out, and it was initially. They randomly charged my debit card. Months later. When I called the hotel, the front desk admitted there was a computer glitch and I was accidentally charged, but my money would be refunded to me. 30 days later, it hadn't, so I called again. They apologized and said it would be refunded in 7 business days. It's now DECEMBER. It's been over 7 MONTHS. I still do not have my money. Corporate says they can't work with me because only the hotel has access to my billing information. SO I'm still out over $210 dollars. Best western is ignoring me after robbing me. In the process of involving legal action be taken, but in the meantime, DO NOT BOOK WITH...
Read moreThis looks like a great place but when I got to my room and tried to settle in I noticed ants crawling on the night stand. I was immediately disgusted and turned on a flash light to investigate where they were coming from and how many. There were at least 5 ants on the surface of the night stand and lamp, that was located next to the bed, as well as ants on the floor. I took a video and show the receptionist so I could switch rooms but she then informed me there were no other rooms available. So I packed my belongings and left the room then asked for my money back. The receptionist said only the manager can issue a refund and he would call me to sort out the matter the next day because he was not in the office. Days pass with no call from the manager Thomas Lynch so I called him and left him numerous messages. A week passed with no call from the manger and I am disgusted by the quality of service as well as the customer service. I willl never visit a Best...
