I needed to change account to my name due to my mother passing away. I was told by phone rep I needed to go to corporate store, which I did on Union Rd. shortly after my mother passed away, with a death certificate. I spent 80 minutes at the Union Rd. store to simply switch accounts. The in store rep told me I was all set and to expect my next bill in the mail after taking 80 minutes to make the changes.
2 weeks later I get texts from Verizon, asking for my mother, telling her should would lose access in 5 days if she didn't pay the bill. After going to the Delaware Rd. store and spending hours on the phone with CSR's and local managers, I found out they never modified my account went I went to the corporate store and wouldn't do so until I paid for the services that should have been modified in October when I went to the corporate store to make the changes.
Until today I had Verizon wireless service since 1998, I will be cancelling Fios and my cell phone since Verizon are a bunch of cold hearted jerks that try to charge people for their recently deceased parents phone that was turned off long ago. I can see why people smash stores merchandise when there sales reps are literally trying to steal from you and telling you there's nothing you can do about it if you want to use your phone.
Update: TCC replied for me to contact them to regain their trust, when I finally got a hold of them they told me that is an automated message and that they would not do anything to fix the situation. One rep told me Verizon doesn't care about their customers or their policies; but the rep made enough $ to work for them so it was OK.
Heartless company no matter what division/segment...
Read moreI bought my Cell phone at the Orchard Park Rd/Ridge Rd West Seneca Location. ...as did my husband & a family member...at different times. The representatives will promise you services that they don't offer ... Whether to make a sale or they are not properly trained or both. These promises were for a free screen protector replacement, a return time for accessories (charger cord that split) outside the actual return window for a defective item, and false claims about what the insurance on the phone actually covers. They have your $$, make false claims, and then don't honor them. The District Manager does NOTHING to rectify the situation nor to prevent his Reps from taking advantage of the Customers again. I personally talked to the Store/District Manager myself & he acted like HE was the one being put out. He's never at the Store & won't hire an Assistant Manager to cover when he's at different stores. If a Rep makes you a promise, get it in writing and have that Rep sign it. This has happened to too many customers too many times yet nothing is being done to rectify the situation. I'd suggest you go to a different store that actually values...
Read moreI went in because my iPhone 6S was not connecting to the Verizon network...thought it might be a SIM card issue....turns out it was not...the sweat began to flow as I'm thinking about having to buy a new phone. The person i worked with, Matt Schwartz, could not have been more helpful. Helpful, that's not something you see much anymore. Sell, sell, sell, that's what you hear and see. Everyone is trying to sell you something. Matt didn't try to sell me anything. He found a way to solve my problem. At the same time, by reviewing my cell phone package, he was able to save us money and get us on an unlimited plan (there are four of us) from our shared data plan...Long story short, I would highly recommend tlka to Matt if you ever have any issues with Verizon wireless. We've been a customer for a long time and each time we have an issue, it's resolved. (well, except for that one time :)...Because of Matt's excellent approach to consultative selling and servicing, my wife and daughter went back two days later and upgraded their phones as well. Thanks Matt, we appreciate you and...
