Simon's Farm & Home Center Inc — Local services in Town of Wilna

My family moved to Fort Drum over the summer in 2023. Having reptiles and a love for plants, I was bummed when there was no privately owned stores near me. I really enjoy the drive to Carthage over Watertown and was so excited when a friend told me that Simons Agway in Carthage was Re-Open! So, I took a stroll finally and was VERY IMPRESSED! They have everything, if not more then I needed! Frozen mice, feeder fish, aquarium fish, gardening, plants, live animals/reptiles, fishing equipment, etc. I also am impressed they do not upcharge the way big retailers do. Great selection of farm and garden stuff as well as small animal and pet supplies, very knowledgeable staff. The poor rating has to do specifically with their aquarium area. I have asked three separate times, twice in person and once over the phone, for a special order of fish for my aquarium. Every time I get told no problem, we will call you next week when we get them in, and every time I receive no phone calls. This place has it all! Great and friendly staff who are all family. Everyone here greeted you as you walked by. But be careful of the gaurd dog on duty ( lol ), just kidding. It's either the family goat or the frenchy, which are both adorable and friendly too. If you're looking for fish or chickens, ducks, or snakes, they have you covered.
