TURF IS WAY TOO HOT IN late spring through October for any human being. I cannot give a good review to complexes that have children play games on a surface that reaches 190 F measured on a FLIR IR gun.
I have yet to see Pit Roanoke address the burning surface issue; moreover, no complex that has eradicated the grass fields in favor of fake turf that reaches unsafe temperatures has any rules regarding player safety due to heat from fake turf. Itâs not safe to play on in the temperatures that it reaches on this cheap turf. Why are there no rules for the kids safety regarding this burning surface temperatures? Grass doesnât have this man made created problem. In addition, as of 2025 they are starting to patch fix sections of field due to the turf deteriorating due to whatever reasons. The turf currently is in pretty bad shape and almost has a slippery shiny quality to it now. It resembles a fake plant sitting in a window for years and crisping up. It gives appearance that entire complex needs fake grass replaced...

These fields have their goals set up year round and the public canât even use them when they want to go play for fun with friends and family since recreational leagues lock up their nets when season is over (which is also ridiculous) . Itâs ridiculous that itâs gotten to the point where they even have a gate at the entrance now from stopping people from going inside to park and play. The one and only fields where they are nice and great quality and the public canât even use them cause they arenât part of the âfc...

My son did mention the field had very little give to it even just after a long rain. Hopefully joint health was considered during construction. The LED lights do impact the color on...
