I normally choose to not discuss RACISM . Because I myself have all types of friends & my family is very blended. But yesterday I had an experience I will never forget and it gave me a clear REALITY CHECK. I will never step foot in another TARGET especially the one on Hawley Lane in Trumbull CT .
Yesterday I went to purchase an extra controller. Because my sons father got him a PS4 for his birthday. & I wanted to be able to play with him. Now when I purchased the controller all I'm looking to make sure is it goes to the game I have. I get home and open it and I'm immediately pissed off. The joy sticks looked chewed on , it doesn't even turn on . The controller is dirty and just all around a clearly USED controller. Now I send his father back to return it & they tell him . They would never sell something like that and there's nothing they can do for him.
So I myself return to the store and received some of the WORST customer service EVER . I was speaking with a manager named SAM. (he is a white man with glasses and tattoos on his arms) Now even though I was pissed off I spoke to him with respect and calmly explained my issue. He smiles in my face and proceeds to tell me that he will not take the controller back. That I need to contact the manufacturer . No apology, no nothing for my inconvenience. So I'm a little annoyed but still controlling myself trying to gain clarity.
The next thing out of his mouth almost made me cry . " I'm not giving you anything miss. YOU PEOPLE always come in here trying to get over. I'm sick of it so why don't you go where you belong " š In that moment I couldn't believe my ears . He profiled me and assumed I was doing something wrong . So I gave him what he asked for which I realize was wrong but I was angry. I knocked over about 3 stands and walked out.
Now he's following me on the phone with the cops out of the store. I did nothing wrong so I decided to actually wait for the police. At the end of the day NOTHING was resolved I received no apology or even exchange. I'm 100% disappointed in the company and who they hired to run the store. I won't stop until I get another result to prove my point. Not every black woman in a track suit with a hat on is up to no good .
If you live in this area I wouldn't bother going to that establishment you may have a similar...

I went into the Target today to pick up a few items from the store and return one to the Starbucks in the final minutes of my lunch break. The Target employee who was at the register asked me to wait a second because he was going to finish filling the order of the person before me and the other woman on duty was also working on a part of their order. As I stood there, they started talking about their weekend; and about how tired they were, and their plans for the rest of the week. I waited. The woman finished serving the customers ahead of me and I continued to wait. She picked up a cup and asked what it was for and then leaned on the counter to talk to the man that had previously been at the register.
He finished serving the people in front of me and then the both of them turned to one another and continued their conversation. At that point, I waved and said "Hi I'm still here waiting." The woman rolled her eyes and said I'm just going to go in the back. He turns to me and says, "We were just talking for a minute." I explained that that is not appropriate when a customer is standing there. His response, "I didn't realize you were in a rush." A completely inappropriate response coupled with a lack of apology ensures I won't ever go to that Target...

They have a big sign declaring you can now redeem your stars for food, beverages, etc. but you still cannot order ahead in the app. According to the staff of this Starbucks, a 200 star redemption for a free beverage ONLY pays for the drink as it appears on the menu and any customizations whatsoever need to be paid for separately (so you canāt change the type of milk, add espresso shots, add flavor syrups, etc). I have exclusively ordered through the app for the last 10+ years and drink customizations are ALWAYS included and covered by the star redemption. Maybe this Starbucks has different rules because itās in a Target, and if it was explained that way Iād accept it, however the barista was SO RUDE and would not stop talking/talked over me insisting that the extra charges apply at all Starbucks everywhere, that āthere has to be a limitā to whatās included in a free drink redemption, etc. He is 100% incorrect. Even airport Starbucksā donāt charge extra for changes to drinks when redeeming rewards (I literally placed an identical order in an airport Starbucks last week and was only charged 200 stars). They need to get their information straight and make sure what theyāre telling customers is accurate, or theyāre going to have a lot of angry people at...
