(8/6/2025) Update: Attention Gardeners!!! I would NOT recommend the "Peppers of the World" seeds they sell here as none of them would grow!!! The seeds must be old or duds. they are packaged for 2025 and not one will sprout! At least, the other veggie and wildflower seed brands they sell at this Ace will provide at least two sprouts out of 15+ seeds. Not good odds so I will go elsewhere for plant seeds and will not recommend what they sell here as I have had few results!
WATCH OUT for drug addicts hanging out around this area and intersection! Especially going to your car!!! Some black guy start yelling at me in the Ace parking lot!!! He walked inside this location! Many tweakers on street corners too. Area is getting bad. (1/18/2025) I guess some folks here got wind of my one star review of the location on golf links and now the floor staff give me the very cold shoulder, grumpy, or just avoid me. At least the register clerks are super nice and its easy to find everything. See below for past reviews.

Update:(12/6/2025) I moved my rating from three to five star because I had a great day today at this Ace. Special thanks to Ray for helping me get my paints and matching them perfectly. I also highly recommend their heirloom veggie and flower seed packets for 2025. A fantastic selection for the perfect garden. The friendly and happy employees, phenomenal selection of hardware and decor, and fair prices is what makes Ace the only place for me.

Normally I find what I need with no hickup. I am thankful to the employees who are honestly kind to me but TODAY Kristen was openly cold and short toward me at check out. I was treated like an inconvenience. Especially when I decided not to buy an item at check out. Kristen was super happy to the woman ahead of me so why the judgement and sudden dislike toward me? How odd. Never had an issue like that here before. Hope she learns to cheer up. I'm praying for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreChris S, Chris E and Bryan went way, way above and beyond to help me solve a couple of different problems. Chris S helped me find a fitting over the phone that I couldnāt find at a normal sized Ace here in town, at Hone Depot or at Loweās. Several hours later when I went to pick it up, Chris S, who had finished his shift and went home, made sure that it was there for me with my name and asked Chris E to take care of it. Simple communication such as this seems rare to find nowadays in any business. Then, Chris E helped me with another issue by taking me to another department in the store and asking his colleague Bryan to help me out. Of course, he did. Another person maybe gives up. Not Bryan. It took him a few minutes but he figured a truly out of the box idea. Thank you for that Bryan. And one last and very important thing: all of them, including the first Chris on the phone, did it with a service attitude and an understanding sense of humor when I told them all Iād gone through trying to figure these mechanical issues out. Thank you Ace, for filling an important niche for guys like me who desperately need men and women like you.
Went back a couple days later, frazzled as Iād almost blown myself up with my grill. Not hyperbole. I was pretty shaken as I did something really stupid and dangerous. That day I had help from Aden and Vince. I didnāt tell them what had happened as I went for another issue. Just their calm demeanor calmed me. And of course, they went out of their way to help me. Anyway, Iāve decided to go out of my way to go to this location than the Ace close by. The service and selection is just superior. Itās all about people first. Product second. Profit last. People Product Profit In that order. Thatās what I see...
Read moreI've been coming here since I was eight or nine years old with my dad. They have pretty much everything you can imagine in this store. Well, OK, they don't have a butcher or fresh fruits and vegetables stand, but this really is like a candy store. Speaking of food, they do have a large selection of interesting jams and jellies and such. And plenty of seasonal products. Heck, I've come into this store in the spring to find cages of live baby chicks on sale for Easter⦠in a hardware store? Crazy, but I love it.
One of the gents at my Tanque Verde Ace mentioned this location is the largest Ace west of the Mississippi. And indeed, it is a big store, row after row of all kinds of goodies for any of your projects, whether it's for repairing the drain under your kitchen sink, the irrigation system in your yard, fixing an electical problem or even for repairing an old stereo component⦠while they don't specialize in electronics parts, if you're looking for some missing screw, washer, c-clip, whatever⦠they just might be able to help!
For sure, "helping" is something they excel in. One thing I really love about Ace Hardware is their friendly, helpful, engaging and competent staff.
Did I mention The Hobby Place next door? Takes me back to my childhood playing with model railroads (toy trains for you grownups) ā uh, except as a child, I could never afford what they cost today! Over $400 for an engine? Yikes! Definitely has become a hobby for old guys my age and not for little kids on a lawn mowing budget. Oh, well :-)
Anyway, if you've never visited an Ace Hardware, this is the one for your inauguration. You could easily get lost in here meandering through the myriad products ā a candy store for you and the...
