I do want to say from the start that their prices are reasonable and the massage was pretty good. She was attentive throughout in asking about pressure, and her technique was efficient and a mix of relaxing and firm. And I’d probably have given four stars if it weren’t for other issues. First, I had to pay upfront BEFORE the massage, which isn’t common and shows a distrust of customers. Next, they charge a $5 fee for using a credit card, and while more and more places do add extra for credit cards, $5 is a bit excessive. But the real kicker was having to haggle over tip when I was leaving, or rather trying to leave. She stood at the door of the massage room and wouldn’t let me pass till she got the tip she wanted. I was gonna give $30, which for a $60 massage is a 50% tip, but she wanted $50. After some back and forth I finally said $35, and she walked away with my credit card again not looking very happy.
