Unfortunately I am leaving a negative review about this campground. First I want to point out the the husband of the married team that manages this place is nothing less than awesome. The wife however, who is in charge of booking the sites is the worst I've ever come across in a campground. After residing there with my daughter for about 6 months she gave my spot to the janitors that work there and that already had a spot in the campground. I'm sure she had her reasons but the communication was poor. My intentions to give my daughter a consistent place to live for at least a year came to an abrupt end when I was notified in early December that I had to be out of that spot on Jan 4th. Yes, over the holidays with little notice, and in a town that has extreme (if any) limited RV spaces available. To end things even worse I asked several months ago if I could place my nice RV recliners in the clubhouse (for people to enjoy) temporarily to clear up some space in my RV for a workstation. When removing the recliners from the clubhouse she became angry and told me I gave those to her to keep. (I never offered her to keep them and made it clear I would want them back)
After this mis-communication she sent me an email stating I was not allowed to return to park under any circumstances unless a space becomes available for rent. My daughter had made several friends she would play with around the park and our families had become friends. It was a terrible experience to leave there on such bad terms not only for me but very awkward to explain to my daughter why I was not allowed to be there to drop her off at her friends to play.
This park has the potential to be a great place to stay but since 1/2 of the management team is a nightmare to work with, I do not recommend...
Read moreI live in my older RV with my adult daughter and 2 large dogs. We relocated from Phoenix to Tucson and this RV park was the most reasonable monthly rate. But the attraction for us was how friendly, understanding and accommodating the manager of the park, Nancy, was from the very first phone conversation. The dogs were not an issue, just no aggression of any kind allowed. My older (1999) RV was not an issue. I just needed to send her pictures to show it looked OK cosmetically (no major dents, no broken windows, nothing extreme, etc). Everything fell into place for us and Nancy was a huge part in all of it.
The park is clean and well maintained. Everyone we have met who work and live here are absolutely amazing, friendly and helpful. The pool is clean and not green, the restrooms and laundry room are clean, there is a nice little dog park and everyone is conscious of their dogs, there is a very welcoming community room with a library of books, the manager provides donuts on Friday's and there is always coffee you can make if you don't have your own coffee maker.
There are some homeless people who walk on the sidewalks outside of the property, but the manager is on it about keeping them, or anyone who doesn't belong, off of the property. Our first night here we had a visitor. He decided to take a walk when I thought he was just outside of the RV on our site. He came back from his walk telling me about a woman who followed him and asked him who he was, what was he doing here and that she had never seen him before. That woman was Nancy, the manager. I knew from that moment that we were in a safe place with people and management who care.
You won't regret staying here. It is life...
Read moreI stayed at this "resort" on my last business trip to Tucson in 2020 and had a satisfactory experience. Understand that this is not what I'd call a resort. It's a relatively small lot near a freeway with parking spaces for RVs. There's a laundry room and a pool. There's nothing interesting, useful, or even pleasant within walking distance and the area isn't one I'd want to walk in alone anyway.
Fast-forward to 2021. The place has new owners now and no longer allows guests with slide-in truck campers -- which is how I roll. They're apparently worried about people breaking new rules about taking the camper off the truck while registered as a paying guest. I guess they have little or no control over their ability to enforce rules?
The only reason I tried to get a space this year is because the rates last time were good, the location was central to my destinations, and management allowed me to leave my camper and take my truck for the business-related day trips I needed. I certainly would not want to hang around this place during the day; there's nothing appealing about it at all. New management has closed me out so it's moot anyway.
In any case, this is not an RV park that I can recommend. You can do better, as I certainly...
