Sixteen years ago, I used to come to this shopping area every Saturday afternoon to shop at the stores, which were different back then. Afterwards, I would come to this location for lunch, which was then called Los Betos. I loved the food back in that era and then they changed their name to Potisinos probably in two thousand six.
So I went back there last Tuesday and bought the special of the day, which was the two beef taco combination plate, with a medium drink for $6.80 plus tax. The sales associate was a very nice yet busy man, who is very accommodating with customer service. Through the order window, I could see two cooks who looked happy and seemed to enjoy their work.
It turned out to be two shredded beef tacos, which were deep fried. Of course it was served in a large foam box, on top of a generous layer of iceberg lettuce, mild shredded cheddar cheese , which covered a huge bed of fresh refried beans and Spanish rice. They offer red salsa, which is delicious yet very hot and green salsa, which is milder and equally delicious.
I went back on Wednesday and the special combo plate was a cheese enchilada and beef burrito, with beans and rice. This was a fat burrito, full of roast beef, green chiles and onions. The cheese enchilada was very big, filled with cheddar cheese, covered with cheddar cheese and resting in plenty of enchilada sauce. Of course it had a huge amount of beans, rice, shredded cheddar and lettuce.
They aren't stingy with the salsa and the portions are so big, that you could make two meals out of it. This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. The menu is similar to the Los Betos chain, but they serve bigger portions . If you eat there everyday, then you will surely...

I have lived within a block and a half of this place for 3 years. But I've always had a bad vibe. I have always went to other taco shops in the area.
Today I decided to give them a try. It was horrible. And it almost seems like what was done to my burrito was on purpose.
I ordered three burritos. I had sour cream added to one burrito. The one burrito was for my son, and I ordered last. It had a normal amount of sour cream. I had asked for guacamole on my burrito. Instead of guacamole it had an insane amount of sour cream. There was more sour cream than anything else. There were a few bites that was only sour cream and tortilla. And I even gave them a $6 tip. I saw the cook look at me as I put it in the jar. I could imagine what would have happened if I did not tip them. Who knows there probably was some spit in my burrito as well.
The service was great. The cashier read back my order and it was correct. She was friendly and overall amazing.
But I don't go to restaurants for the cashier. I go to the restaurants for the food. So now I'm glad I've stayed away from this restaurant for the past few years and I'm going to continue to stay away...
Read moreI have liked this place for a long time and have been coming here for years but my most recent trip (today actually) was terrible. I had to explain to the people at least 4 times that I wanted the #7 with rice and beans added in the burrito as well as on the side. Its a combo so rice and beans should come on the side already but you have to really make it clear. I ordered that exactly and I get up to the window and check with the woman that thats what was ordered. She checks but says nothing to me. She hands me the meal and its just a bag of the 2 burritos. I have to call her back and tell her this is not what I ordered. Some guy with a mustache comes to the window who also doesnt seem to understand English very well repeats what I tell him. Then tells me its extra which she charged me for in the first place. Finally after like 4 extra minutes of waiting I get my order. I get that these people choose to speak Spanish and that's fine but the realization is youre going to get people that cant and there's a language barrier which causes miscomminication, wrong orders and bad reviews like this one. The whole thing was a...
