Iâm being generous giving one star. If I could leave none, then I certainly would. I called to sign my son up for their summer program. Which was one day a week and 45 minutes. He just graduated Pre-K and there are a few friends in his class that are on the same team and we were going to do the same and have a fun experience while participating with kids he knows. The guy I spoke with was RUDE , passive aggressive and for no reason. He asked if my son has played in a league before and I said yes, the Little Kickers. He scoffed and said Well, thatâs night and day with our league and that my son basically wouldnât be able to keep up or up to par with what their league teaches versus the one he was in. Weâre talking 4 years old children. 4!! He told me without hesitation that he wouldnât be able to be in the group with his friends because of this. I informed him politely that heâs athletic, plays soccer and sports at home. When he played soccer, he was great at it and loved to play, took it seriously and thatâs why we wanted to continue. This has nothing to do with capability nor should he jump to that conclusion to a mom. Also, my mom friends that have already signed their kids up did not have this experience and the staff they spoke to made sure they were on the same team to have a fun summer and learn new skills. Iâm assuming they spoke to a different person since their children hadnât done Soccer Cityâs specific soccer league before signing up. The fact that he was so rude and condescending and jumped to the conclusion that really this would not be a possibility for my son boggles my mind. Listen, if youâre just going to be pissy, then take the day off and go roll a soccer ball around to make you feel like a big man and let someone else be professional and answer the phones to help customers if your not capable of that. Bad, bad way to run a business and have someone that represents your company. Because of the way I was treated, I told him very quickly that I was not interested any longer in bringing my son there and weâll happily take our money to a great company for families and children. I would not send my child there or recommend this place to anyone that I know. Iâm still on shock at how I...
Read moreI love playing soccer, and the facility here is great, but the staff is amazingly incompetent. It's not cheap to sign up a team, so you would expect to have some level of professionalism when it comes to scheduling, processing payment, and any other overhead cost associated to the fees.
Instead, you can bank on the schedule coming out AT MOST a couple of days before the first game, and usually at least 25% of the games are on a day other than the day provided in the league description.
Example: This last session we signed up for "Coed Open Sundays" and had two games on Tuesday nights at 10:00pm and 10:45pm. One of our games showed "postponed" as soon as the full schedule was posted (not until after the first game had already been played) so I called to inquire. The answer I got was that the other team had requested that weekend off, and the scheduling manager was "tired of dealing with it, so [she] just put it up as postponed". I asked if they were going to extend the league another weekend to make up for their scheduling mishaps, but instead she rudely snapped that they're going to leave it up to us to find an opening on a Monday or Tuesday night.. for Coed Open Sundays.
This happens every time we sign up, and I really wish there was another company in town we could give our business to. It really shouldn't be this much trouble to schedule soccer games. If they can't handle the volume of teams signing up, they should not accept as many teams, or they should expand their facilities. And for the benefit of SoccerCity, the inept, unprofessional scheduling manager should be replaced with scheduling software. It's just...
Read moreI have been going to this place for years but every now and then they tend to have people reffing that are questionable in their handing out of cards given the circumstances. Tonight was the worst experience I ever had playing at soccer city & also UNSAFE. I was pushed on the field & subsequently given a card afterwards when I displayed my frustrations without retaliating physically back. After that a couple more members of said team continued to cuss at me and be little me when I then again began to do the same back after I asked this ref âwhy are you allowing them to talk to me this way?â.. Iâm a black & white male with dreads & I understand we are past segregation but we are still in Tulsa where the worst race riot in history happened 100 years ago & til this day even with half of my family being white I always see right through the blanket RACISM displayed by many people in the soccer community of this town time & time again. Stop allowing people to get away with this type of activity in your facility, itâs beyond ridiculous..
Edit = I was given a second card and walked out by a member of staff as they tried to make me look as if I was outta control for some reason after I had asked the ref that question but they continued to allow the people off the other team to walk up to me & laugh & talk as I was escorted off. Iâm so let down at how...
