We have made a lot of purchases at this store. We have always been satisfied. My wife bought something that was described to be maybe like a very soft silly putty that you could squeeze and shape, etc.. We opened it at Christmas and it was more like karo syrup. A mess. So she takes it back to Tulsa Toy Depot to show it to them. There was clearly something wrong with the product.
The reception she received was very inappropriate. A gentleman, she believes an owner, said they don't do returns for opened products. She explained something was very wrong with the product. Even opened another of the containers and showed him the problem. He could not have cared less. He said they don't accept a return just because someone doesn't like the product. She again explained the wrongness of the product. He again refused a return. His manner was pretty difficult. He kept saying nobody else had experienced this problem. She said that doesn't matter. Look at this mess right in front of you!
He finally agreed to a store credit. All of this over a $7.00 item. She didn't so much care about the money until this guy began acting like a fool. She was more concerned that someone else might have a problem with this product.
We have grandchildren. We have shopped in this store a number of times. We will not be back. Ever. We are all about supporting a locally owned business. Until that business abuses their local clientele. Game over. I will be sharing the story of this experience every...
Read moreSince discovering this toy store in December, I have spent approximately $600 in merchandise. Last week I purchased a toy for my daughterâs birthday, once we opened it I realized the play candles for the toy cake was too small and would be a hazard even for a 3 year old (as the age requirement listed). I waited a week to return it because we live 40 minutes away and I am in nursing school full time. So we just came on spring break. I had the ORIGINAL packaging, items wrapped inside, and the receipt. As soon as I said I had a return their whole demeanor changed. I was nothing but smiles and they shut me down immediately. They were very rude and unprofessional. I believe it was the two owners and they were both talking over each other to tell me they could not take the $50 toy back because it had been opened and âplayed withâ. I never allowed my daughter to play with it because it was a choking hazard. They refused to even examine the toy to see it was in PERFECT condition. For a Christian establishment, they are very hateful. Will not be...
Read moreWe stumbled onto this place by accident a few years ago. Our son is autistic and when we walked in his âhappy handsâ went crazy! It was like walking into a magical world for him! (Not to mention the chocolate and more variations of caramel apples than I have ever seen just on the other side of âthe wallâ for the adults.) Now that we have moved up here, it is our favorite place to go for those special toys you cant find anywhere locally. I love this place. It is well thought out with toys for every ability and age. Even with sensory issues my son canât get enough of it. But once he finds that ONE thing he wants that day he cant wait to open it! And the staff are amazing. It is really the best place with so many different and unique and fun things that there is really something for everyone. It is my number one favorite place to get toys now. My son is NEVER disappointed and friends always ask where I got gifts when I get them. It is the kind of place that has those toys you see but canât find just anywhere. But you can...
