Iād give zero stars if I could. Iām honestly really sad writing this, because I loved the hair and was so excited to finally find someone I could trust. I have really bad social anxiety, and it took a lot for me to reach out in the first place. I usually avoid salons because Iāve had so many bad experiences, but I genuinely felt comfortable here and truly appreciated the work ā I even tipped 75% because I was so grateful.
The first hairdresser I originally messaged never even replied. That shouldāve been a sign, but I still kept trying because I really liked the work they showcased. I let the second stylist know up front that Iām cautious with hairdressers because they often donāt deliver what I ask for ā but she actually did, and I was so happy. I sent her a thank-you message after the appointment, told her how much I appreciated her work, and even asked for the names of the products she recommended during my visit.
I also asked when I could book my next color appointment for a few months out, since I told her I donāt get my hair done often, but this experience made me want to come back. But after that, nothing. She completely ignored every message I sent ā not just about booking, but even when I asked to purchase the products she herself suggested. I even asked at the end if she could recommend a nearby salon with similar services, just so I wouldnāt be left hanging. Still nothing.
It feels like some kind of cool-kid club ā if youāre not the āright vibe,ā you get quietly pushed out, no matter how respectful or appreciative you are. If itās required to give a 100% tip or fit a certain look to be allowed back, I wish that had been clear from the start. I thought everything was great ā until it wasnāt.
Now Iām just left feeling rejected and confused. I really donāt understand what I did wrong. I just wanted to feel good about my hair and myself ā and instead I feel humiliated for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently had the pleasure of getting a lob haircut by Jason, and I must say, it was an incredible experience from start to finish. Jasonās attention to detail and meticulous approach truly sets him apart. He not only gave me the perfect cut but also took the time to explain the importance of haircut technique and maintenance, ensuring that I could maintain the style long after leaving the salon.
On another note, Jason brought my daughterās haircut vision to life. When my daughter and I brought in pictures of her desired hairstyles, Jason exceeded our expectations by flawlessly recreating the looks. My daughter left the salon beaming with pride and satisfaction with her new do, thanks to Jasonās expertise.
Despite my initial apprehension about razor cuts, Jasonās professionalism and confidence put me at ease. His skill and precision truly make him a hair genius. I am already looking forward to booking future services with him for myself and my daughter.
Beyond his exceptional talent, Jasonās down-to-earth demeanor and easy-going nature create a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. From the moment I stepped into the salon, I felt comfortable and at ease, making the entire experience thoroughly enjoyable.
Jason is a true gem. His talent, professionalism, and warm personality make him a standout stylist, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. I am grateful to have found such a skilled professional and look forward to many more visits in the future. Thank you, Jason, for an amazing...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFor years, I used to only go to Sassoon Salon as the stylists there employ the Vidal Sassoon cutting technique, which is world-renowned for its precision, geometry, and perfection. If youāve ever experienced a real Sassoon cut then you know all nuances of one - the stylist must maintain good posture, they must hold their arms at specific angles, they donāt use razors, you cannot cross your legs while they cut, etc. All of these guidelines are to ensure that your haircut doesnāt just look good, but is technically perfect.
I first met Heidi at the Sassoon Salon in South Coast Plaza and when she moved here, I immediately followed her. In fact, I like her so much that I drive here every 8-10 weeks from Los Angeles instead of just going to the Sassoon Salon closer to me.
In addition to Heidiās precision cuts, she is extra meticulous with Asian hair. Asian hair has a different shape, texture, and density when compared to Caucasian hair which makes it more challenging to cut as itās not as forgiving. Heidi takes her time with every strand of my hair, never rushing the process. Furthermore, whenever I point something out like, āI think my right side feels a tiny bit heavier than my left,ā most of my former stylists usually reply with, āI donāt see it.ā Not Heidi though; she always sees it.
Thank you Heidi for taking care of my tresses and making sure I always leave...
