After hearing about the renovation of the turf club and a huge foodie I was excited to come to the restaurant to try it out! The first time we came here in April right after they opened the food was amazing! They were out of the stake my husband was looking for but the sturgeon he ordered instead was amazing! The atmosphere was on point and the service was slow but I knew they needed to get some kinks out as this was the first weekend they were even open to the public. Overall, we had a fabulous time!

We came back several months later for a friend's birthday and my 40th birthday. I noted both on the reservation as well as request for the lounge for our special day. I was contacted to verify the reservation including the birthdays and request for a vegetarian option. However when we got there in our black tie apparel, early mind you, they had the audacity to tell us they gave our table away in the lounge to a walk-in. I was very surprised and asked if there was another spot available in the lounge and they just said no. I was obviously a bit annoyed but they didn't seem to care. They said well we will just put you in the dining room instead, you'll be fine. I responded that we were there for a special occasion and was really hoping for the atmosphere of the lounge and they just shrugged. That's not acceptable service anywhere!

Once we were seated in the dining room they brought us our menus. Then several minutes later they asked for drinks. But it took quite a while for our server to come take our order. They did mention the request for a vegetarian option and said unfortunately they were out of the one vegetarian entree. They offered a salad instead. The server didn't seem to have any idea what items on the menu were vegetarian other than the one entree. One of the vegetarian appetizers was chosen and it was quite tasty. The rest of our party was happy with the food they received. The menu at the time was very different than the menu we had before and seemed to be lacking compared to the first visit.

Not even once did they ask about the birthdays and we had to mention it before the end of the meal and they said oh I guess we could get you some kind of birthday dessert, as an after thought. We just felt so forgotten about on such a...

Please know this is easily a $100/pp restaurant and all food is a la cart. We knew beforehand but some people could get a shock if they are unaware

Food-. The bread service was delicious and we really liked the house made butter. For appetizer we had the pork cheek. It was different, but good. For dinner, we both tried to order the ribeye, but they were sold out. The NY strip steak was also sold out. That’s half of their steak options gone! This was probably my biggest disappointment. How does a steakhouse run out of so much by 7:30?? I ended up settling for the beef tenderloin. It was well cooked and tender. I also had the house salad which was unique but so full of different flavors. The baked potato was also good. My husband had the tenderloin topped with Lobster Oscar. He enjoyed that but his favorite was the potato pave. It was our favorite dish. We tried the crème brûlée for dessert which was just ok. The dish was not shallow enough for you to get that caramelized crunch with every bite.

Atmosphere- I love the remodel, decor and overall presentation of the restaurant. I was really excited when this was billed as a fine dining experience that would “give you a reason to dress up.” It sounded like the classy restaurant Twin was missing. Unfortunately, walking in and seeing other patrons in camo hoodies quickly dashed any vision I had of an upscale restaurant. The music did not quite fit the atmosphere either. I think a dress code would really set this place apart as something other than just a place to get an expensive meal.

Service-Our server was polite and checked in regularly but was not extremely knowledgeable about the wine or food. He was very willing to go get answers for things he did not know though. However, the lady who did the wine service was phenomenal! Knowledgeable and professional on all accounts. 5 stars for her! More frequent bus service would have been nice as our 2 person table was overcrowded and we had to shuffle empty plates around quite a bit.

Overall, I thought it was so-so. The food was good, but it’s lacking the upscale fine dining atmosphere/experience that I had hoped for. Maybe my expectations...

My husband and I have had a good time at Turf Club. It was our first time. We arrived at a little bit after 4 pm expecting to sit down and so ready to order dinner but the dinner is available at 5pm anyway it is fine for us. Just sat down at the bar enjoyed some cocktails. Very nice atmosphere, beautiful interior. The service is wonderful but a little bit lack of some friendly lively vibes, sorry that I couldn't describe well, kinda formal vibe, we expected some happy-ish vibes from the staffs when they have customers. I ordered trout which was too burnt at the skin. It was presented that they put the burnt skin down and when I ate the skin without seeing it clearly it gave me the really strong bitter taste . Also the grilled lemon piece on a side which I thought it was tomato, it was so bitter, my bad not looking at it carefully. Then I wanted some juice from that grilled lemon, it was too bitter to eat, kinda ruined the tasted of the fish and sauce, anyway I managed to finish the whole plate by taking the burnt part out. It would be nicer if they just serve the fresh lemon and not-too-burnt skin trout. My husband ordered steak and very big baked potato, his meal was fabulous, so tasty. Medium rare is a perfect choice, recommended by our sweet waitress. We like all cocktails we ordered. The price is fair and better than other fine dinings in Twin. We had total 4 cocktails and a beer, skewer as an appetizer, wedge salad if you like real deal strong flavored blue cheese, they have a good one, 2 main dishes with one side, we paid around $205 including tax. From our experience we could pay a lot more at other places due to cocktails we had. The portion of food is good, we're really full. We will definitely go back to...

Upon our arrival we were greeted by the hostess and promptly taken to our dinning booth. We were asked if we wanted sparkling water or regular water and our glasses were filled. We were then presented with what I think they called a "One Bite" It was a very tasty little hors d'oeuvre on a ceramic white spoon. The waitress told us it was to help cleanse the palate and prepare us for our meal. Speaking of our waitress. She was great. Very informative and and helpful. She visited back with us on several occasions to make sure our meal was ok and if we needed anything. Now a little about our meal. We had the Bison Chateaubriand, it was cooked exactly as ordered and was very moist, tender and full of flavor. They had a sauce you could pour over it that was out of this world. It made the Bison a absolute adventure in flavors. We also had the Spinach Ricotta Ravioli. It also was extremely good. The pasta was smooth and soft but not mushy or doughy. The white sauce that the ravioli set on was amazing, I could of had a bowl of that and eaten it like a rich soup. For desserts we had Warm Capri Cake. This was a chocolate cake and Pistachio Gelato, it was wonderful. We also had the Mango Sorbet, it was very smooth and Flavorful. It was a wonderful Dinning experience and the best meal I have had at a restaurant in a very long time. I have included a few pictures of the meal. The pictures do not do it justice.

I always wondered what the Turf Club would be like. It's more than I imagined. One of the top 5 best meals of my life. We went with my son & his friend visiting from WA & they were blown away by the hospitality, personality & fine food/drink. My son, who is picky about his steaks, found his ribeye top-tier. I am a slow eater, but I beat everyone in our party of four, devouring the trout & grits with poblano & salmon roe. Grits were so creamy, a perfect accompaniment to flaky trout. The ribeyes, including my husband's steak frites with bearnaise & chimichurri, arrived hot & tender in all the right places. A special shout-out to the Lobster Mac 'n Cheese. My son wanted four more bowls to-go. I don't even like Mac 'n Cheese & I wanted some. So much lobster flavor & texture to go with the liquid gold cheese. We tried Basque cheesecake for the first time, too. Oh so fluffy, like whipped cream. Our server Tilly was more like a hostess, making us feel right at home. This place is swanky, yet comfy, the food hearty, yet refined. Twin Falls desperately needed to up its restaurant game, & it did with the historic Turf Club. We plan to be back to celebrate every special occasion. Take that, Seattle!
