This place is a museum and learning center, the gallery and museum part are FREE, but donations are welcome (and you should consider donating so they can continue to provide their services to the community.)

Second Saturday of each month, free telescope viewing, lasting from sunset to 9:00 pm or two hours after, whichever is later.

Ask for a schedule for the planetarium shows, tickets are $7 per adult $6 per senior, $5 per kid and 2 years old and younger is free. Ask for a schedule for the star parties and events, the star parties are very cool if you’re a night owl and love learning about stars and such. They host reptile reviews, hands-on crafts and games, and many other educational activities. They also provide information on development of STEM programs at the college and in the community, as well as community learning events at the Herrett center. The staff is great at answering any questions, and I highly recommend that anyone and everyone go here.

Fun fact, in 2004, they had the largest wheelchair accessible telescope in the world. It’s a pretty...

The Herrett Museum on the CSI Campus is open to the public and is free. The long history of the Herrett Museum and planetarium is a long one. But today they have archaeological finds on display, Interactive exhibits, art gallery, reptiles, wooly mammoth, an archive library, a telescope (certain times to view) gift shop and a 360 Dome theater that has different shows to watch. We went to see "The Serengeti" but different shows at different times. ( as you can see by the sign) Great to take kids. The Rick Allen Room can be rented out for special events or go to watch a lecture. Grandkids love it. Tickets range from $5-$10 depending...

This is a fun place for the kids. We came here at the right time because they had the reptiles out. We first did the movie in the planetarium. The kids loved it. I love that they can learn while having fun. They were able to touch and learn about all these different reptiles that were out. They then were able to walk about around and learn about the Native American culture and dinosaurs that lived in Idaho. If you’re in Idaho you need to stop by here.
