More of an all around local art, natural history, and native peoples museum with a planetarium dome and small observatory. The space aspect takes a back seat to the adequate natural history displays. Where this facility shines is its rotating local art exhibit space, and well appointed native peoples exhibits. There are lots of hands on activities for kids, and enough reading material to keep busy adults informed. The museum areas are free, and the staff quite friendly. Dome shows occur frequently and are priced fairly. For the native peoples exhibits alone, I would rank this facility five stars in the context of its...

I'm giving 5 stars because there is nothing else like it. But I attended a child's field trip yesterday that was less than captivating. Lydia from beetle juice was the presenter. And not thrilled to be there it seemed. I learned a lot. The reptile review was pretty slow paced for first graders. Getting the kids captivated, instead of seeming annoyed would have been neat. Just my personal opinion. I recommend the planetarium highly for the museum and planetarium shows and star parties! The event space is also cool, but kinda spendy for the lack...

based upon the size of Twin Falls and how small it is, this is one of the best museums I've ever been to. it has a lot of Native American artifacts, full planetarium with Movie Theater, reptile exhibits, and so much more. general admission is $6 and what an amazing place to take anyone, especially kids under 12 years old. it will teach you a lot about Idaho Heritage and the Great Snake River basin. Heritage Center planetarium has one of the best shows or shows going on year-round playing throughout the week. make sure to check...

We spent most of the day here with several kids age 3-7. Is was very enjoyable - especially if you have curious kids. We did museum exhibits, dome theatre, reptile experience, and looked through the big telescopes. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Even with 3-year-old fits, this was still an excellent day trip/quick weekend get away that was as entertaining and interesting as it was educational.
