Faulkner Planetarium — Attraction in Twin Falls

More of an all around local art, natural history, and native peoples museum with a planetarium dome and small observatory. The space aspect takes a back seat to the adequate natural history displays. Where this facility shines is its rotating local art exhibit space, and well appointed native peoples exhibits. There are lots of hands on activities for kids, and enough reading material to keep busy adults informed. The museum areas are free, and the staff quite friendly. I'm giving 5 stars because there is nothing else like it. But I attended a child's field trip yesterday that was less than captivating. Lydia from beetle juice was the presenter. And not thrilled to be there it seemed. I learned a lot. The reptile review was pretty slow paced for first graders. Getting the kids captivated, instead of seeming annoyed would have been neat. based upon the size of Twin Falls and how small it is, this is one of the best museums I've ever been to. it has a lot of Native American artifacts, full planetarium with Movie Theater, reptile exhibits, and so much more. general admission is $6 and what an amazing place to take anyone, especially kids under 12 years old. it will teach you a lot about Idaho Heritage and the Great Snake River basin.
