To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent experience. I ordered a piano bench for a family member. Afterwards, I discovered that it was not suitable for their needs.
I immediately contacted the company via email and phone at to cancel the order. I included my phone number in the email for further communication.
To my astonishment, the bench shipped a couple of days later. When I contacted the company to inquire about my cancellation request, I was met with the astonishing claim that cancellations cannot be processed after shipment. This is unacceptable, especially considering that I had initiated the cancellation prior to the shipment.
During the conversation with customer service representative Xyrrah, I provided evidence of my cancellation request through screenshots of the email and a voicemail timestamp, both of which predated the creation of the shipping label. Despite this irrefutable proof, Xyrrah continued to deny my cancellation request and offered false excuses. This blatant disregard for truth and unprofessional behavior is deeply concerning.
I requested a return shipping label or reimbursement for the return shipping costs, as I should not be penalized for the company's failure to process my cancellation in a timely manner. However, my request was flatly denied.
This company claims to be a "family business," yet they treat their customers with a shocking lack of respect and professionalism. I have also attempted to resolve this issue directly with Dwight (Dan) via email, but have received no response.
I am currently pursuing a resolution through PayPal and my credit card company to obtain a refund for this order. I believe that a valid cancellation order legally prohibits the company from charging my card.
I urge you to investigate this matter thoroughly and take appropriate action to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the...
Read moreUPDATE - They have agreed to ship a replacement for the damaged leg. I'll update and perhaps improve the rating when it arrives.
I ordered this stand and expedited it to have it arrive before my gig on New Year's Eve. It arrived on-time, but in addition to some cosmetic damage to the paint, the primary leg was unable to lock into its storage position, causing it to slide down prematurely when trying to set it up. It was unusable for my gig.
It is now nearly 4 weeks later and I still don't have a replacement for it (although they do keep offering additional discounts). Furthermore, GeekStands has decided that the locking pin can be replaced instead of the full leg and it will take another 3 weeks to even arrive from the factory in China. Since the current locking pin is deformed (it looks like someone tried to force it into the storage position), it won't come out without further damaging the leg itself. Then I'll have to wait who know how much longer to get the leg they should have sent in the first place.
Customer Service was good at the beginning but must be handled in Asia since I only get responses overnight. They keep promising that someone from GeekStands in Texas will contact me, but that hasn't...
Read moreFirst off, i would just like to applaud the value of griffin stands - i think i have a cymbal stand or two and a couple of snare stands. They do the job. No matter how hard you hit a snare, its not going anywhere, so if you need an extra one for value - this is the place. I thought i'd try a remote hi hat stand because an extra inch or two of space on the left side really helps my reach with comfort. It allows me to easily reach my 2 high toms (big set, double bass) Never tried one before so the thought of paying $400-$650 for a pearl/DW/Tama is a bit scary. While not as sensitive as a real stand, its a pretty good feel, closes well, and is smooth enough to play it as the rhythm. I recommend it for all levels. It doesnt come with a clamp but the manufacturer wouldn't know how you are going to use it. I tried my bass drum hoop clamp where the 2 leg was but it seemed a bit "floatey". I have this heavy duty gibraltar arm that bends into any position so its holding it perfectly, its connected to that same tom stand. I think it was well worth the exploration. I hope to come back and...
