This place is awesome! Words cannot express how grateful I am for them. Everything from Shannon basically holding my hand and walking me through this unfamiliar territory to Lisa Marie with social services on the day we were discharged. This is hands down a great place!
Kay at the entrance was so welcoming, Wendy is the CNA and she is just phenomenal, and my dad shared a room with the DONs dad and she was so caring and always smiling!
I spoke with several residents and they were pleased with the place, and that says a lot! Plus, it didn’t smell! That tells you a lot!
I am only 42 and so I have no experience with anything nursing home or skilled nursing related. Due to my mom dying unexpectedly 7 months ago, I have taken on the task of caring for my handicap dad.
After a 7 day stay in the hospital, he needed skilled nursing/rehab. They kept him 2 weeks and then his insurance said he was ready to go home. In my opinion, he needed longer, but the stupid insurance.
If you know anybody on an advantage plan, tell them to get off and run! Stay on plain Medicare! They are the worst and try and send you home, even against doctors and therapists orders, just to say money! It’s all about the money, and nothing about the patient!
The therapy department is top notch and they really work hard to get the patient to where they can go back home!
I just can’t speak high enough of this place! When we be returning when long term care is...
Read moreThis place labels itself as a rehabilitation center and it is anything but! My mother broke both of her ankles and was put there after a brief stay at the hospital. They left her in diapers for hours at a time. They wouldn’t answer the call light. The nursing staff was rude and decided they were more qualified to determine her medications than the Dr that had her on them. When we advised we were filling a complaint, they retaliated by not replying, not answering her call light. They told us by TEXT that we had till midnight in a holiday to pick her up. They did not work with her on how to use a bedpan or transfer from bed to bedside potty. They literally said it was easier for THEM for her to have on a diaper. We picked her up today and she is Non weight bearing but they discharged her without a wheel chair being delivered or without anyone at home that can help change her. They are more just a nursing home and definitely should not be considered for rehabilitation. They are short staffed and short tempered. They are judge mental and unhelpful when families try to get information or point of care. Shannon Jones was considered a patient advocate and she was rude and unprofessional. The entire place should be audited and looked in to. Do not use them for...
Read moreCarla, the administrator pumped up the place when we were visiting the assisted living home for my sister. The Waterton Inn Assisted Living Home unfortunately is not concerned when it comes to feeding the residents nutritious meals, offering fun activities on a regular basis and opportunity to go to a church service at a nearby church. I do want to mention the staff; Suzette, Debra, Willie and Ms. Betty do care about the residents however the owners and the facility director are all about profit and really don’t care about food quality or residents having enjoyment! 😞
Revised 1/8/2025 Regarding my previous post, I will now give this assisted living home, a higher rating, 3 stars due to a new administrator/owner, Stacy. Stacy is a very caring administrator who cares about her residents. Hopefully, the food quality will get better as well as more Activities and entertainment for all of...
