First off - Toby (The Watchmaker) is an horology master craftsman. It is remarkable to me that he has chosen to set up shop and reside in Tyler, TX as opposed to townships in Switzerland or Germany.

Secondly - I have a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust watch which stopped working several years ago. I took the watch to a reputable local jewelry dealer for repair and the watch continued to malfunction. I then took the watch to Tyler's 'official' Rolex dealer (twice!) and the watch still would not function properly - it would stop and lose time every time I wore it.

Thirdly - out of frustration, and MUCH money wasted on 'official' Rolex repair, I put the watch in my safe and forgot about it. Two years later, while perusing the contents of my safe, my wife commented that she had heard good things about The Watchmaker and encouraged me to give it one final attempt at repair. I agreed. Enter Toby.

Finally - Toby invited me back to the inner workings of his shop, took the watch apart, right before my eyes, isolated a near microscopic part that didn't look quite right to him, replaced it, and my Rolex has been working absolutely perfect ever since. Cheers!

Summation: Do NOT take your timepieces to anyone but The Watchmaker for repair.

Side note: Toby is a great person to know and I toast his...

My wife and I went in on our shared birthday as an errand to size my wifes wedding ring and it ended up being the highlight of our day. The staff and owner are really fun and engaging. We ended up having more fun there than our birthday celebration. My wife actually wanted to stay in the store and hang out with them rather go to our dinner reservations. The owner Tobi spent the time to size her ring properly and discuss her day to day routine to figure out if she would swell and what kind of leeway she should have in the size. The quality of work on the ring sizing was impeccable we cant even see the seem where they cut and polished. He makes his own jewelry as well and it's AMAZING stuff. Highly detailed with a lot of character and different patinas/finishes. I recommend going in just to see the cool stuff (high end knives, leatherworks, EDC supplies etc..) they sell. You won't see this kind of...

I went out to the store to pick up a couple of machetes that I had purchased online and to look around at all the different merchandise they had in stock. They have an awesome online presence by the way. I was immediately impressed at the professionalism of the staff and the arrangements of the many different knives and watches they had on display. I was shown around by Tanya and Toby ( the owner ) and I got to see some amazing handmade custom knives. I ended up buying a really nice ProTek wrist watch while I was there even tho that was not part of my original plan........ 😂

I would highly recommend them to anyone needing any jewelry repair or other clock and watch repair. And if you are looking for an awesome knife you need to go check them out. They will be my new go to from now...

This shop is outstanding!!! Seems to be a rare thing these days to find great service. These folks have that deep rooted customer service ethic. I have to go all out and call them consummate professionals. There selection of watches is to die for, including some lovely automatics from days past. They've also got some great cutlery. Definately check them out. Make watches great again!!!

I took a Ring in to see if it could be repaired after I melted a hole in it changing out the battery in my truck. Left it there so they could look at it and see what they could do, few hours later they called me and said it’ll be no issue repairing the hole in the ring. Dropped it off and in a few hours it was done. I can’t tell the hole was even there. Fantastic job! Thank you guys so much!
