I have been a loyal customer of this store for a few years now, and Kroger overall for my entire life, going to the location on the Hilltop in Columbus, later Hilliard, and now Hebron/Buckeye Lake. I rarely write 1-star reviews (check my history). However, after my recent experience with this store, I am left with no choice. It all started when I was purchasing two Home Depot gift cards, so I could get my fuel points, which Kroger heavily advertises. I was going to buy a new dishwasher for around $750, and a few accessories, so I figured I'd go ahead and pick up two $500 Home Depot gift cards. I picked them up and went to the register. I walked up to the cashier, who was named Caylee, and who advised me that they had to be rung up separately due to the amounts. Ok, no big deal. Rung up the first one, paid. Rung up the second one, paid. But, wait! She told me the second card wouldn't activate...and she didn't know why. After getting another worker, and the manager on duty, no one could figure out why...(the activation notice said "ALREADY ACTIVATED...this will come up later so hold that thought). I did not understand what was going on, but I did know that I got charged for BOTH $500 because my bank's app alerted me as such. Upon telling them this, they said ok, they would have to refund me the $500 and then we could activate a new (different) card. I said okay, I will take the refund, but because it didn't post immediately (the manager said it could be up to a FEW DAYS!), I didn't have enough in my account to cover another $500 transaction. So, I would have to wait until the refund came through, or just forego the second $500 gift card and fuel points. No big deal. Fast forward a few days later, when I go to use the gift card on my purchase...it says the card number is invalid. Upon further investigation, it appears that this card was never activated! Then, upon further investigation, it turns out that the activation receipt I was given does NOT match up to the numbers on the gift card. It didn't take me long to realize what had happened...Caylee had given me the WRONG card, the one that was actually not activated, and had kept (or thrown away) the one that DID have my $500 on it. At this point, I was upset, but I figured a quick trip over to the store would resolve this. After all, the store and its employees had made this error that cost me $500, not me, so I am sure they will resolve it quickly! Boy, was I wrong. I will spare you a lot of details, but my trip to the store was totally unhelpful, and the management team of Josey and Drew, while polite, did absolutely nothing to show any value of me as a customer. They basically told me there was nothing they could do, and that I needed to call 1-800-KROGERS. Okay, well, at this point I am not happy at all. But, I figure that a call to corporate will resolve this issue, as the store was in error, obviously, and they have taken my money. Well, over TWO hours of phone calls later (95% of which involved being on-hold, including over 45 minutes straight), they REFUSE to resolve my issue whatsoever. Get this...they told me to contact Home Depot! What do they have to do with this? Your cashier messed up twice, not only in charging me in error, but also giving me a gift card that had no value on it! What does, what even COULD the Home Depot do about this? They did nothing wrong! Aside from not wanting to sit on the phone for another TWO HOURS like with Kroger, I actually expect them to tell me they cannot do anything. They were not at fault! I am at my wits end. Budget is tight, and $500 is actually our monthly grocery budget. Why would I continue to shop at a store that, and I can't think of any better term, STOLE my money, and refuses to return it? I only have a couple of options left, and I will be filing a lawsuit in small claims court of Licking County to have my money which they took from me, returned. I hate that it has come to this, but what else can you do? The Kroger Company, you have lost a lifetime customer and a brand loyalist, over $500. :(

Kroger bakery in Hebron..... Do better!! This is so flipping ugly that when my husband brought it to the party, I was instantly peeved! I honestly have no idea how someone liked at this and said " looks good". I honestly think they looked at it, and said "ehhh good enough" **** updated to add, the cake itself was delicious! Just bad writing

Worst Kroger Store I have ever been to. Poor service and self checkout was hardly useable. It tripped out on me several times. I was going to transfer my prescriptions to Kroger but not now. I will keep them at Giant Eagle and make the drive to Newark from Hebron.

Worst Kroger and click list ever. Last three times I ordered click list I have been missing items that were not substituted even though I said I would accept substitutes. Apparently they are not paid enough or they’re too lazy to actually look for the right product or a substitute. Most times I have been missing items I was able to park my car walk into Kroger and find the items that were missing. Not a substitute the actual item that I ordered that they said was not available. Today was the last time I will patron this Kroger. Again I ordered a click list to be picked up between 4:00 and 5:00. I received a text at 3:45 saying they were running behind and my click list would be ready between 5:00 and 6:00. I show up a little before 6:00, check-in, 20 minutes later I called no one would answer. Called the front desk told them and they said they would send some help back there. Another 15 minutes I called again finally somebody answered and said that my order was only 80% done. I left the click list area pulled into a parking spot actually walked in the store to purchase all the items that I needed to feed 30 people that was supposed to be at 6:30. Produce was horrible looking but I need to feed people tonight. The best (worst) part was I walked over to click list told the lady to cancel my order and instead of saying I’m sorry, or even offer me a damn coupon, she said “oh...

Every time I shop here and bring my groceries home there is ALWAYS something opened or expired it gets really old wasting my hard earned money

4/12/22 Again worst experience ever. Tried to do curbside and they only had 3 items on there that were the right items. I said no substitutions.... Like geesh people... Also couldn't even pay for those 3 items their credit card machine was down so I would have had to go in anyway. I said forget it just cancel the order I'll go to Walmart lol

Went to get gas... a distress young father accidentally locked his baby in the car with it running and AC turned on. Needed to find the grandmother so went in to kroger to page her and customer service refused to help so I screamed the description of the grandmother very loudly. She came running. I took her to the child and she was able to get in. Whomever was working to service desk tonight needs to get 1 week suspended no pay.... that is uncalled for... make executive decisions even if u...
