UPDATE: the unprofessional response from the owner below not only validated my distaste for this establishment, but actually lowered my rating from 3 stars. Read his responses to other “less-than-stellar” reviews and you will see the same issue. Now, I will not only never return here because of the hair, but I will recommend against this business to anyone who asks, due to poor management. Congratulations…

Original review: The BBQ was tasty. Sides were good too. The issue I had is that I found a hair in my potato salad. 🤢 I hope this was a one-time issue, and I was the only one affected. I confirmed it didn’t match my or my family’s hair, and it was actually down in the salad, about 2/3 to the bottom of the container. Unfortunately I won’t be back for a while, because hair in food bothers me a lot and I have some trauma around this. On the rare occasion I would find a hair in food, before, I was grossed out but moved on. I’ve recently realized that there are restaurants I’ve literally been to tens if not hundreds (in the case of, say, McDonald’s, THOUSANDS) of times in my life, and never once came across a single hair in my food, so with that fact, I simply cannot look past it. I do hope they are more careful in the future and no one else ever...

Decided to drive out to Buckeye Lake today to checkout Lindsey’s SmokeHouse Barbecue. Met Jay the owner, he has been in the business for 3 years. He is smoking with hickory, cherry and apple words. Decided on the two meat dinner (brisket and pork) with baked beans, Mac and cheese, coleslaw and potato salad. The brisket and pork were super moist and tons of flavor. Couldn’t stop eating the meats. The Mac and cheese was made with elbow macaroni noodles and some smooth creamy cheese. This was the non-baked style. The baked beans were made with a nice thick sauce, so Yummmy. The coleslaw was vinegar based and the veggies were nice and crispy. The potato salad was a mayonnaise based with a nice blend of onion, celery, pickles and egg. Super smooth and tasty. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to check this place out....

Quality food. The call ahead & drive thru pick up was perfect for me today. I ordered the ribs, chicken, baked beans & coleslaw. I love their gold BBQ sauce. I just tried the chicken and slaw with a bit of gold. The chicken was moist & shredded, great flavor alone. The slaw has a vinegar base, but light & not overpowering. The slaw was finely shredded and crunchy. I normally like creamy slaw. Think I am changing my ways, at least for Lindsey's place. A courteous gal answered my questions during phone order. I believe she was at the window for pick up. Or they have 2 people with great customer service skills. Also the order was 100% correct. Thank you very much to those involved in...
