Online and phone ordering is a bad experience. No one wants to call in and talk to a computer to order food! Had a complicated order with dietary restrictions that I didn’t feel was going to be accurately handled by ordering online so I wanted to call in and speak to a person and I got an automated order taking machine. I have zero confidence (or patience) to play this game when ordering! Bad idea Donatoes.
Of course, when I arrived, my order was not there because it had been automatically routed to another store. I asked to speak with the manager, provide some feedback about the process, but she did not seem to be interested at all, simply said, I’d have to wait while they made order. Although this was ultimately my fault for not confirming the correct store online after I turned on location and provided my zip code, my order was routed to a store 20 minutes away. The “manager“ offered to do nothing to make sure that I was satisfied.

The site crashed during my order process, and was then "Under maintenance" after trying to reload the page. A young sounding girl answered the phone and met my issue with "Let me guess. You want me to take your order over the phone and use a promo code?" I was somewhat shocked and quiet for a second, but then I replied "You sound reluctant. I certainly don't want to ask you to do anything that's against policy." She said "So do you want to order or not!" I apologized for upsetting her and hung up. I've never had such a clearly irritated employee talk down to me after being so diplomatic and even polite. My company orders catered food from this location several times a year. Read moreFirst off, we love Donatos Pizza! This store is normally fast and efficient. However, our last visit-not so much. I arrived at the designated time and I saw my order on the warming tray. The clerk told me that they were just waiting on my sub to be made. 20 minutes later I was asked if I could have ordered under a different name because they couldn’t find my sub order. I showed her my confirmation email and a few minutes later they found my sub. It was placed on the wrong order. They were very apologetic.
